John McDonald of Lure Fishbar and his partners (Josh Capon, Peter Kane) exploit various cuts of beef on their meat-centric menu, which includes pork, veal, rabbit and seafood.

"This is a work in progress. Was so excited to see what McDonald and Capon had created next. While most dishes were not surprisingly excellent there were some duds.
Our server while very friendly was clueless as to service. Yes they can be trained to memorize menus, but not how to provide quality steakhouse service.
Managers stand around not engaging customers and dealing with kinks, but rather chatting among themselves. why?
OpenTable provided no tables for several hours, yet the place was far from fully occupied. That was strange, but perhaps not as strange as reception directing me to a garage several blocks away when there are garages next door, in addition to fairly easy street parking.
As is typical for a new restaurant, wait a month or two and trust they work the kinks out
In the meantime NY has no shortage of well run steakhouses with qualified personnel to keep you covered"

"F&O has one of the best brunches in the city. Not your usual boring menu. A mixture of pure breakfast items done in exciting fashion together with lunch items as well.
The ambience is great but the quality of the ingredients used as well as menu construction is what sets this place apart."

"One of the original Luger knock offs, but one of the best of them
Appetizers a bit too pricey even by NYC steakhouse standards ($23 crab cakes, $25 shrimp cocktail), so may want to skip and go straight for the steaks
A hidden gem down by the seaport, with food competitive to the best steakhouses, but without any glitz or ambiance"

"Been here several times for dinner. Always enjoy it . Came for lunch. Windows wide open so you can hear construction drilling down the block.
And our waiter was so disengaged, lacking of personality and did not know the menu.
