McLoone’s Pier House in National Harbor offers waterfront dining and great views of the sun setting over the Potomac River, serving classic, American cuisine. The offerings range from fresh seafood to hand-cut steaks, as well as pastas, salads and homemade desserts. Outdoor Dining is available from April through October, weather permitting.

"This restaurant has a lot of natural advantages. It's got a great location on the water, the interior is nicely decorated, the host/manager and wait staff were solid. However, the menu needs a total make-over and the food was mediocre at best. (Fix the food first.) The live entertainment was excellent quality, but way too loud, far more suitable for a bar than a restaurant. It just didn't work in that location. Overall, I'd say this restaurant really seems confused about what it wants to be: romantic/formal or party central."
