"I was looking forward to trying Chef Fredy's after reading the reviews. We booked a table for 4 for Saturday night. We were running 15 late due to babysitting issues and were told that regardless of the reason, we would have to vacate our table by the 2 hr mark from the start of our reservation. So, after much planning and arranging for babysitting and driving, we were rushed through our Saturday evening dinner in almost frantic fashion, which definitely infringed on our enjoyment.
Of course, I understand restaurants not wanting diners to linger for hours, but this was ridiculous, from the way it was dealt with by the front desk to the way the waiter and other servers, whose main objective seems to be to get you out of the restaurant "on time" and prep the table for the next group.
That said, the food was good. The lobster ravioli appetizer was delicious. The guinness stout bbq chicken was good, but not as good as expected and the sauce a bit clumpy. The bread pudding was very good. So, for those going for the food, but not necessarily the experience, they will enjoy it."

With a career spanning across two continents and twenty seven years, Chef Fabio has created an Italian culinary haven known as Fabio's Restaurant located at 214 East 52nd St. Chef Fabio will make sure you have the ultimate dining experience.

Throughout his formative years in Rome, Italy and in NY, he has perfected signature dishes such as FETTUCINE alla Fabio, made with porcini mushrooms and a delicate sauce that enhances the woody taste of the mushroom without overpowering the palate, and RISOTTO Crema di scampi, made with the freshest fish and lightest of creams.

Fabio personally selects his produce and vegetables directly from the market daily, as he wants to insure top quality and freshness of all his ingredients. The same applies to the pasta dishes - all are homemade and great attention is paid to preparation and detail. He will also go out of his way to prepare dishes upon request.

"We, a group of 6 women, met at Fabio last week for meeting/dinner and everything we ordered - from the shared appetizers, to the entrees, to the desserts was fresh, flavorful and delicious. I will definitely return to try the other menu options that looked equally enticing but that we didn't have a chance to enjoy."
