"We enjoyed Cuts. Our steaks seamed to be of excellent quality of nicely aged beef and salad and side offerings were also quite nicely done at a price point that is a little less than painful than the upscale chains - and you know who they are. I would return again before dining at those other places;-)"

"We enjoyed Azio. It can be expensive but we were in the mood for pasta and that side of the menu is quite reasonably priced. The food was good, service was efficient if a little indifferent. The wine list is average, but nicely selected. I would definately return the next time I visit Atlanta."

Pittypat's Porch is Atlanta's oldest restaurant serving guests delicious Southern food and beverages by friendly experienced servers in a warm and comfortable, old fashioned environment reminiscent of the old South during the time of Gone with the Wind. The menu features our famous fried chicken, ribs and other traditional Southern specialties along with great steaks, fresh seafood and daily specials. A sideboard/salad bar includes freshly made Southern salads and specialties including chicken salad, fresh tomatoes, and other fresh vegetables seasoned just right. All of our breads and desserts are made right in our on site bakery. Be sure to save room for our delicious corn bread, muffins, pecan pie, hot peach cobbler with cinnamon ice cream and Larry's amazing BlackBottom Pie! We have a full bar with specialty drinks and extensive wine selection at great value. Y'all come soon!

"I had blackened shrimp over creamy grits. Salads and sides are served buffet style which worked fine and everything appeared fresh and appealing. Our entrees were pretty good but not outstanding in any way. The ambience in the main dining room was kind of a mess with lots of tables stuffed into a cramped low-ceiling space. All in all you can find more creative new southern cuisine elsewhere but if you just want comfort food in a casual atmosphere you could do far worse."

Max Lager's was one of the first restaurants to bring the fresh and natural wood-fired menu concept to Atlanta. The art of cooking with wood enhances the Max Lager's experience with bold flavors simply not found with alternative cooking methods. We feel that the investment made in the wood-fired grill is an investment that pays great dividends to our guests.

All Max Lager's menu items are prepared daily from scratch. Wood-fired steaks, burgers, seafood, ribs, and pizza are Max Lager's signature items. An inspired selection of entrée salads and pastas add variety to the American menu.

"Dined while in Atlanta on business. Liked it so much we returned again during our 5-day stay. The first night I had the Low Country Trout with spicy sausage and crawfish jambalaya. The entree and Arugula Salad were both prepared very nicely with lots of layered flavors. The second night I had the Wood-Fired Filet Mignon and the wood-fired flavor was excellent as was the preparation - medium rare right on. I'm a wine drinker but we had a beer while waiting for our table both nights. It was worth the wait and I highly recommend this restaurant for neo-upscale food at fair prices."

Tucked into a quiet corner of Biltmore Village is one of Richard Sharp Smith's original Tudor Style cottages, and one of Asheville's most surprising restaurants. Chef Joe Scully brings years of culinary experience to bear in his special North Carolina take on Pan-American cuisine (he calls it "Caromerican"), while host Kevin Westmoreland makes you feel as welcome as an old friend at breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Dine in the sunny “Side Porch”, where tables cluster around a generous bar, or in one of the cozy fireplace rooms - upstairs or down. When the weather's right, relax on the Patio and take in the singular beauty of Historic Biltmore Village. If you are looking for the perfect spot for your next meeting, luncheon or other group function, call or email and make arrangements for an unforgettably great special event.

"Dined by myself while in Asheville for business. I was immediately struck by the welcome atmosphere. Fellow diners advised me on menu and I engaged in an hour long discourse with an adjacent dinner party between courses. The food, I had the Mahi-Mahi, was quite nicely prepared and came with well chosen accompaniments. All was very good and the evening was quite charming. I will return!"

Pomodoros South Asheville offers an authentic Mediterranean experience in the heart of Western North Carolina. Drawing our inspiration from the countries of Greece and Italy, we tempt the palate with three separate menus (Lunch, Dinner and Sunday Brunch) of diverse and innovative dishes using the freshest and finest ingredients. Pomodoros is a full service restaurant that provides an extensive wine list, a full bar, catering, and friendly service.

Our three distinct menus reflect our commitment to providing only the finest fresh ingredients. Our cuisine pairs regional traditions of Greece and Italy with the diverse culinary talents of our chefs. "The basis of each dish is always in the tradition of the region, but the ingredients guide the way to new delights as well as old favorites."

Pomodoros uses only the finest oils that have zero Trans-Fats and are not partially hydrogenated.

"Chain feel with a bit more effort than you'd find at Carraba's. I sensed a bit of pretense but our meals were pleasant none-the-less. Definately worth the price and portions were appropriate; that is, not heaped with bulk prepared pasta. I'd go back again if for no other reason I can squeeze in another glass of wine in under my employers draconian expense allowance;-)"

The French word for "footbridge", Passerelle is an aptly-named casual bistro located at the base of The Liberty Bridge, overlooking beautiful Falls Park in Downtown Greenville. Enjoy chef inspired fare that"s a little French, a little European and a lot "Local". Lunch, dinner and weekend brunch. Dine inside the warm and inviting bistro, take a seat at the Chef's Bar and or al fresco on the patio with a view. Signature dishes include sweet and savory crepes, Mussels Passerelle, Summer Cassoulet, Ratatouille (sandwich or omelette) and Dayboat Scallops. The wine list includes a range of French varietals, from classics to interesting new finds. French cocktails and beers round out the beverage list.

"We thought the ambiance was lacking - too many hard surfaces and little character. Not terrible, just didn't hit us right given the entree prices. However, none of that mattered as our seafood entrees were quite good. Nicely prepared and cleanly presented. The house salads were bland - iceberg lettuce is gross, and the sweet bread was a gooey sugar bomb. I'd skip the bread - the carb count is already up there without the sugar, and save $4 bucks for a better drink;-)
Despite this, we liked th place enough to return again."
