Welcome to The Quarter Bistro, located in the heart of historic Mariemont Square, only minutes from Montgomery, Maderia, Indian Hill and Downtown. The award-winning combination of seasonal cuisine and sophisticated ambiance are just the beginning of an unforgettable experience. As Cincinnati's premier "contemporary" bistro, the menu presents all things classic and creative in balance. Fresh fish and game daily? Of course. Outstanding wines at a great value? No Question. Whether it's a beautiful summer evening on the patio, a romantic wine and dine for two, or a down-to-business dinner for ten, The Quarter Bistro has it covered.

"I dined on consecutive nights. The first night was such a treat, I cancelled a reservation at another establishment in favor of another night here. I thought the menu limited, but in a good way in that the chef concentrates on what can be done well in a given season. The wait staff was outstanding; attentive but not hovering. Two great evenings."

In a home, the kitchen is the spot where families gather, parties migrate, and food draws friends around. That’s also the spirit of Vivo kitchen: we are a place to come as you are. We use local, seasonal ingredients to prepare food that’s delicious without being mysterious.* Vivo translates as “life” — and that is what we want every guest to experience to the fullest. We look you in the eyes, care for you personally, and make you feel as welcome as if you are in our home. Because, for us, a kitchen is the heart of a home — and great hospitality is the heartbeat.

"Our first dining experience here. We prefer the neighborhood Italian kitchens in the urban metro - Luci, Al Vento, Scusi, etc., so we assumed this experience would be a bit more franchised - more like Macaroni Grille let's say......I think it landed in the middle. The food was good - pasta to perfection with complex flavors and appropriate portion size (you have two choices) but in a big box ambiance. Nothing negative; we still prefer our favorites, but now we have an option closer to home too. We will definitely return."

Forepaugh’s Restaurant is located in a beautiful Victorian mansion in the lovely Irvine Park area of Downtown St. Paul; a stones throw from Excel Energy Center and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. The building itself is a gorgeous, multi-functional (read: wifi), state of the art venue disguised as a charming, quaint and thoroughly authentic Victorian mansion. The seven intimate and artfully decorated dining rooms straddle the past and future gracefully, featuring both period décor and brilliantly conceived, cutting edge New American Cuisine. The wine list is expansive and supported by a wine cellar/chef tasting room that is available for small, intimate gatherings. The bar, comfortable and cozy, --featuring the finest in distinctive liquors and specialty drinks. And the service is excellent. Join us for a big night or a cozy romantic dinner. Business groups, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions and parties of any shape or size are encouraged.

"We've dined at Forpaugh's a number of times and although often slowly paced - think European pacing, we felt the experience was gentile and relaxed. On this particular night however, it was annoying. Our bread arrived after our salads which took almost 40 minutes. Shortly thereafter our server announced that they had run out of the Salmon I had ordered. Which meant another 40 minute wait and a mismatched bottle of wine which we had ordered with the original entree in mind. We were offered desert on the house, which we accepted if only because the portions were so small we were still hungry. We departed after 2-1/2 hours, which left no time for other activities we had planned for the evening. It may be a while before we return."

"I researched Brown Dog in advance of a business trip and liked the menu but had some doubt that it could really be as good as it looked. It was better. Our entire party was still bragging about their meals the next day as one in our group arrived late and missed the rest of us and ended up at Bob Evans. Boy did he blow it! We'll be back!"
