At one of Virginia’s busiest crossroads and convenient to world-class shopping, this Clyde's features Robin Hill paintings, Albert Paley metal sculpture, hand-blown glass fixtures and American artifacts. Seasonal American cuisine in an Art Deco setting.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch with our nephew; chose Clyde's because of the varied and reliable menu and nice ambiance. The Tyson's property seems a bit more 'dated' than the others in the chain that we've go to (Gallery Place, Old Ebbits, Willow Creek, Tower Oaks, Alexandria....), but it is still comfortable. Nephew and hubby enjoy the murals: not exactly the Louvre, but almost as many nudes LOL. Thanks for a nice afternoon."

The Daily Grill is a throwback to the classic American grills of yesteryear. The Daily Grill features huge portions of classic American food at a great value. Located in the heart of the nation’s capital, this Daily Grill was the first to be opened in Washington, D.C. Just steps from Dupont Circle, it’s close to embassies, office buildings, national associations, and broadcast centers, as well as a nearby Metro station.

"Met a friend visiting from out-of-town at 3 pm on Sunday afternoon; decided to sit at the bar, after confirming that we could order from the menu. The bartender provided a brunch menu, and asked for our drink order. There were 3 'featured' brunch drinks - one of which was Sangria, which I ordered and was told "we're out of Sangria." Okay, maybe it sold out at brunch earlier in the day. Ordered the next featured drink (something fruity) - which was fine. Hubby had a draft beer, and friend was drinking water. Sat there chatting for an hour - but despite numerous attempts, we were never able to catch the eye of the bartender to (a) order brunch, or (b) order a 2nd drink; both of which we intended to do. The 3-star food rating above is based on past experiences at Daily Grill - since we never got to order any on this visit. The bartender seemed to be intentionally ignoring us, and was talking or texting on his cell phone the entire time. We gave up, and when we departed, our friend (a former professional bartender) said "I don't know how that guy makes a living as a bartender. We weren't the only people being ignored." We wonder too."

Restaurant Marvin has been serving Belgian cuisine, American soul food-inspired dishes, and soulful sounds to the Cardozo neighborhood of Washington, DC since 2007. Our cozy bistro on the first floor is the perfect spot for an intimate dinner while the upstairs lounge, private dining room, and rooftop bar epitomize the best of DC nightlife.

"This was our 2nd trip to Marvin (our friend had a birthday party in their upstairs room a while ago); we enjoyed it both times. Our brunch experience was excellent - - nice Bloody Marys and Mimosas, AMAZING French press coffee, and delicious food. I had the shrimp & grits - great flavor; hubby had biscuits and gravy, and friend went with the burger. All were happy. Friendly staff should be commended for making this a fun place to go."

"We had a lovely early dinner at the new location of the Bastille, a favorite Old Town spot for years. Food and service as excellent as always, in a fresh and stylish new setting in the trending west side."

"Driving from Catonsville to Alexandria on a Saturday afternoon; I did a quick Open Table search for a late lunch venue and came upon the Ellicott Mills Brewing Company. Quickly made a reservation (for 3 pm) and arrived on time. Service was fast and friendly; the variety of draft beers was interesting; and the food was excellent. All-in-all, a very pleasant experience - - - we'll stop by again next time we're in that neighborhood."

Since 1999, Chef Wiedmaier infuses his Belgian heritage into Marcel's elegant haute French flagship restaurant. Regularly topping the best-of-lists in the nation's capital, in 2011 and 2012, it was rated the top restaurant for food by Zagat as well as one of the top five restaurants for service.

"Our group of four enjoyed the dinner before a concert at Constitution Hall; one had been to Marcel's before, and the rest of us had it on our "list." The food and service did not disappoint; there was a small issue of having to be reseated because the first table was wobbly, but it did not distract from our enjoyment of the experience."

"Received a La Tasca gift card as a holiday gift from a work colleague. When we showed it to our server, he said he would have to "check it out" with the management, but after a few minutes, he returned and said it was fine. We ordered a cocktail and an array of tapas, and enjoyed all of them. There were not many people in the dining room on a Friday evening after 6 pm; and the servers were aggressively trying to remove our plates (several times before we had finished with them). But overall, the service was friendly. They said we could not use any of the gift card balance for tip, so we left the tip in cash, and have a balance left for a future visit."

It is a common criticism that Washington, D.C., where chains, steakhouses, and take-out joints abound, lacks restaurants that combine great food, friendly prices, and a hip atmosphere. Logan Tavern puts this tragic shortcoming to rest. Located in the dynamic Logan Circle neighborhood, Logan Tavern is a neighborhood restaurant and bar that"s as perfect for a quick weekday bite as it is for a Friday night out with friends. Come by for dinner, lunch, happy hour, or our great weekend brunch for some comfort food with a twist.

STK artfully blends two concepts into one—the modern steakhouse and a chic lounge. A large central lounge area is furnished with creamy leather banquettes and textured crocodile tiles, and is surrounded by an elevated dining room for more formal dining. Theatrical lights illuminate each table, while a DJ creates an energetic vibe throughout the entire space. STK Washington D.C. is located in Dupont Circle and is in close proximity to D.C. attractions as well as being in the heart of the best night life in the Nation's Capital. As anticipated, steak is the main attraction. STK offers small, medium and large cuts of meat, as well as naturally raised options and market fresh fish entrees. Aside from steak, signature items include Parmesan Truffle Fries; Lil’ BRGs; Shrimp Rice Krispies; Sweet Corn Pudding; and Jumbo Lump Crab Salad.

"We reserved for 12 noon and arrived on time; the dining room was about 30-40% full. The ambiance was nice, and the people were pleasant, but the service was extremely slow. Long waits to give our order as well as in between courses and after we asked for the check (had to ask for it, after waiting awhile to get the server's attention). We weren't able to leave until nearly 2 pm. Won't do a business lunch there again."
