"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our brunch - we both ordered from the brunch menu: Eggs Benedict, one with sirloin, the other with crabcakes (the sirloin was better, as the crabcake was a bit soggy). Meal included the 1st class salad bar. The view is unbeaten in Alexandria and most of the metropolitan area. Waitstaff and hostesses were friendly and professional. We can't wait until the weather warms up so we can have drinks and appetizers on the outdoor terrace."

The jewel of the Washington Harbour, Sequoia remains a landmark of fine dining by the Potomac. Our culinary team creates innovative, modern American fare. Coupled with panoramic views of the Kennedy Center, the Watergate, Memorial and Key Bridges and the flotilla of boats passing by, Sequoia creates an unforgettable dining experience. Please note all reservations are for inside only. Dining on the patio is seated on a first come first serve basis.

"We were kind of disappointed that, even though I put in the Open Table reservation notes that we wanted to be seated outside, the maitre'd told us that they could seat us inside. We were seated by the window, which was nice, but we saw dozens of empty tables on the extensive terraces. It appears that they may not have had sufficient wait staff working outside, Our waiter, while professional and helpful, seemed overly rushed as well - - working many tables. My brunch dish was tasty (smoked salmon BLT), but my 2 dining companions weren't very happy with theirs (Monte Cristo sandwich, and Traditional Breakfast). After brunch we bought drinks at the terrace bar, where there was ample seating and the matchless view of the Potomac."

At McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant in the Reston Town Center, our hallmark is the freshest fish and seafood from around the world served in a traditional decor. Our fresh daily menu highlights favorites from our Pacific Northestern origins-Alaskan King Salmon, Wild halibut, and Northwest Oysters-along with East Coast Specialties like Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab and Maine Lobster. All this is presented in a handsome decor of rich mahogany accented with copper paneling, custom chandeliers and Virginia-themed stained glass ceilings. <br />

"We enjoyed our visit on President's Day. Some parking issues - surprised to find the parking decks nearly full by noon - but we were seated promptly. Kudos to our server, who offered cocktail and menu suggestions. I asked about scallops (only on the lunch menu as part of a mixed seafood dish); he checked with the kitchen and confirmed they could make sauteed scallops from the dinner menu for me - it was delicious. My husband and sister enjoyed their selections as well. The server must have been over-extended at the end of our stay, as we had a 5-10 minute wait trying to get his attention to ask for our check. We all commented that the noise level here was preferrable to Jackson's, and a nicer atmosphere. We will return."

New American restaurant and bar that is inspired by the agricultural and coastal traditions and bounty of Virginia. The new Lemaire will deliver the quality and service The Jefferson Hotel is known for, but in an accessible format without the pretense, formality or expense!

"The restaurant at the Jefferson Hotel was recommended to me by a colleague when he heard we were spending the weekend in Richmond with friends. After checking out the Open Table reviews and the menu, I quickly made an early dinner reservation to follow our outing to the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts on Saturday afternoon. Our friends who live in Richmond enthusiastically welcomed our suggestion that we treat them to dinner at Lemaire after the exhibit. The restaurant lived up to its excellent reputation and our lofty expectations. Outstanding locally-sourced menu, fabulous service and beautiful surroundings. We can't wait to return."

"Lunch with a business colleague called for an upscale destination, and RIS has a good reputation. My first visit, and I was not disappointed. Handsome decor throughout; greeted warmly as I arrived. Menu is imaginative and both of us enjoyed our selections (her: chicken pot pie, me: quiche and tomato soup). We shared a sinful dessert as well. Very good overall experience."

"We had a great time at the MoCo Founding Farmers. We brought our adult children who had not been to any of the Founding Farmer's locations before. They liked the interesting menu and variety of choices, both with food and libations. We shared one of the breads and tasted each other's entrees - - everything was delicious. Our waiter cheerfully helped us with many question about the menu, and he and the rest of the staff who served us were professional, swift and courteous. When we arrived for a 3 pm reservation, the entire restaurant (both levels!) was full; but the crowd thinned out over the next 1-1/2 hours. We can understand why Founding Farmers MoCo is so popular, and we look forward to visiting in the summer months, too."

"Four No. Va. friends who have been out-of-touch for the past several years chose Matchbox Merrifield for a reunion because of its location (accessible to all of us). Those who had not been to the Mosiac District since its renaissance were pleasantly surprised. Our server Chris was awesome - attentive and friendly. We loved the interesting mix of menu offerings (chick pea fries? - yum!; almost as tasty as the sweet potato ones). Roasted Brussels sprouts to die for. We'll all return - separately or together. Many thanks!"
