Sasa is a new Japanese inspired restaurant in Walnut Creek. Izakaya Restaurants are traditional small plate restaurants where friends go to have a drink and unwind after a long day. Situated in the historic 100 year old building that for many years housed the Walnut Creek Meat Market, this architectural jewel has been transformed into a ambiance that wows and invites guests to stay and enjoy the dining experience at SASA. Chef Cyrus Irudistan and Chef/Owner Philip Yang prepare Japanese influenced dishes from around the world. The staff welcomes you into their house and offers up comfort, hospitality and fun. The restaurant includes a full bar with a large Sake selection, outdoor patio, sushi bar and a commitment to fresh local seasonal faire.

*Note: Personal wines welcome, a $20 corkage fee will apply per bottle

"We eagerly returned to Sasa's with friends; everyone looked forward to another delicious experience. That did not happen. Some of our selections were very good; others missed the mark. Good: Brentwood corn side dish, grilled salmon special, scallops. Not so good: Heirloom tomato salad (tomatoes were tough), beef special was like a beef stew (poorly done). Sushi diners (not me) gave their selections an OK -- not great, but good.
The main dining room has a nice vibe, but was particularly quiet. Upon entering, the smell of seafood (on the not good "fishy" side) was very noticeable. There are too few vegetable dishes on the menu. Sauces seem to be the result of a heavy hand. Service was fine.
We will not return immediately"

Blue Agave Club is a Mexican Restaurant serving "alta cocina mexicana" or "high-end" Mexican cuisine. Don't let the "high-end" deter you. We do offer an array of menu choices... from the expected enchiladas & burritos to the unexpected Filet Mignon with Pomegranate-Chipotle Sauce, for example. Our menu is adjusted seasonally to include the freshest ingredients. Chef & Owner, Alexandro Garcia has created exquisite sauces by updating authentic family recipes and adding his own creative flare.

We offer over 200 different Tequilas and have gained notoriety for our award-winning margaritas. Come see why our loyal customers have voted us
BEST...
Mexican Restaurant,
Outdoor Dining,
Place to Have a First Date,
& BEST Margarita!

We hope to see you soon at Blue Agave Club.
Don't forget to ask us about our Tequila-Pairing Dinners.

"There is something so relaxing about dining outdoors and Blue Agave Club has a great patio that we thoroughly enjoyed during lunch. There are plenty of trees and umbrellas providing a nice shady spot for most tables. The food is good. We had enchiladas that I would describe as very good traditional Mexican fare -- exactly what we wanted for lunch. There are some interesting (elaborate, complex) entrees on the menu that we will try on a return visit for dinner."

"8 of us dined at Zut! on a Sunday night. We enjoyed very, very good food and excellent, friendly service. I heard many compliments from my dining partners. We enjoyed appetizers: fried brussel sprouts (good); lamb meatballs (very good); grilled asparagus (outstanding!). Entrees included: Risotto, Bucatini, Rotisserie Chicken -- every one of them was excellent! Two of us shared the chicken and still had a bit to take home and enjoy the next day. Desserts included rhubarb crisp which received lots of compliments, but the hot fudge sundae took home the grand prize (still thinking about it!).
Dine at Zut! with family, friends, co-workers, or clients. You will be glad you did."

{Join us for SUNDAY BRUNCH!}

The Bull Valley Roadhouse serves American roadhouse food prepared from scratch with century-old techniques using fresh ingredients from our favorite small farms. A beacon at the end of a canyon road in the historic dock town of Port Costa, the roadhouse welcomes locals, travelers and adventurous day-trippers alike in its 1897 landmark dining room and bar. Stepping into the saloon-like rooms, guests can sense more than 100 years of hospitality. The proprietors strive to maintain that warm tradition and leave everyone feeling relaxed, well fed and eager to return. Look for us under the golden bull.

Sunday brunch served from 10:30 am through 2:00 pm.
"Early Sunday dinner was our first visit to Bull Valley Roadhouse. The dining room was quiet when we were seated, but filled up with lots of groups. "Old fashioned" cocktails (updated versions of historic drinks) were very good. The sardine toasts and the risotto received high ratings. Fried chicken was good, as were the sides: mac & cheese, cauliflower.
No decaf coffee is served (a disappointment for some in our party). The dining room was quite warm, but once a side door was opened it started to cool down. Street parking was full so we needed to park at the end of the road in a dirt/gravel parking lot with HUGE potholes. It seemed like it would be very difficult to navigate in the rain and/or the dark."
