Artisan offers a warm, welcoming ambiance, appropriate for both special occasions & casual get-togethers. The highly refined food of Chef/Owner John Marquez, blends Northern California's local/organic sensibilities with French influences & techniques. The warm interior is a reflection of the casual elegance you find in every meal. This upscale bistro is intimate, personal and inviting. The dining room is contemporary, stylish and elegant, displaying natural wood beams, a cozy stone fireplace, and exhibits by a local artist.
In the kitchen, the sophisticated menu is prepared by Chef Marquez, with over 15 years of French American culinary experience. He has recently served as Chef at Fringale, Chef de Cuisine at Coi in SF., with prior work at Picasso in Las Vegas, Per Se in NY and The French Laundry in Yountville.

"We enjoyed our dinner here more than any place else on the island. Nice wait staff too. Guess I was disappointed that I had told them it was our 42nd wedding anniversary and nothing. Guess those days are long gone ."

Sasa is a Japanese inspired restaurant in Walnut Creek. Izakaya Restaurants are traditional small plate restaurants where friends go to have a drink and unwind after a long day. Situated in the historic 100 year old building that for many years housed the Walnut Creek Meat Market, this architectural jewel has been transformed into a ambiance that wows and invites guests to stay and enjoy the dining experience at SASA. Chef Jason Shimizu and Chef/Owner Philip Yang prepare Japanese influenced dishes from around the world. The staff welcomes you into their house and offers up comfort, hospitality and fun. The restaurant includes a full bar with a large Sake selection, outdoor patio, sushi bar and a commitment to fresh local seasonal faire.

*Note: Personal wines welcome, a $20 corkage fee will apply per bottle. Dessert plating fee of $2.50 per person for outside desserts

"The food is good but the wine list is pricey. It is a very noisy place. I know most everything about the foursome we were seated next to. Very close seating. I think they try hard but it's a little too hip for me. So many great places in Lafayette and Walnut Creek that we can be choosy."

The Park Bistro & Bar showcases only the freshest, local and organically grown produce as well as naturally raised meats and line-caught fish. Executive Chef Adam Carpenter has created an approachable, yet inventive menu, presenting a French twist on American fare. With a wholesome and earthy quality, many dishes elevate “comfort” food. Natural light from the romantic inner fountain courtyard, intimate alcoves, a large communal table and versatile private dining spaces. Rustic stone floors, natural wood tables, leather seating and an original art program create a warm and inviting, yet grand and inspiring, space that will create the most memorable dining experience in Lafayette. The Park Bar overlooks the recently renovated covered patio with an adjacent outdoor terrace featuring two fire pits offering both dining and casual lounge seating year round. The Park Bar offers guests traditional bar fare, a selection of artisanal beers and wines by the glass, and classic cocktails.
