"We had lunch here twice. It is a very nice spot for a quite relaxed lunch. We had pizza both times and it was a well executed, almost authentic Italian pizza (and I am from Italy, I grew up on pizza). The second time was a bit undercooked bud definitely pleasant. A solid place for a nice chilled afternoon out"

"Not much to say other than it was seriously good food. My rabbit Cacciatore was noting less than memorable."

When we opened the doors of our tiny restaurant in December 2006, our goal was to make Piccino as welcoming as the home of a close friend, our food as simple and beautifully executed as possible. We"re honored that Piccino became a thriving hub of the community. And in May of 2011 we moved from our original space into a new home (dubbed The Yellow Building) on the corner of 22nd & Minnesota Streets, which we share with our friends MAC (Modern Appealing Clothing), and DIG wine shop.

Our menu still features the classic and seasonally driven thin-crust pizzas and polpette (Tuscan-style pork and beef meatballs) Piccino is known for; our salads and soups use the finest organic produce sourced directly from small local farms. Piccino's menu has expanded to include more small starter plates, house-made pastas, contorni (vegetable sides), and special entrees of meat, fish, or poultry. Seasonal desserts and expertly made coffee complete our daily offerings.

"We came to this place without a lot of expectations and we left promising to ourselves that we'll go back.
The restaurant is simply but tastefully decorated. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed and the food was delicious.
I'm Italian and I tried the pasta with clams, which really impressed me. All good all around, especially for an informal night out with a small group or couple.

Fresh produce from the Santa Barbara Farmers' Market is skilfully prepared with sustainable seafood and naturally-raised meats by acclaimed Chef John Downey. We invite you to join us for dinner and taste why Downey's has been Zagat Survey's top-rated Santa Barbara restaurant for 26 consecutive years. The Downey family take great pride in their small, intimate restaurant. John heads the experienced kitchen staff aided by Liz who also handles the wine list and manages the dining room. You will be served by experienced and knowledgeable professionals who know when to be present and when to leave you to enjoy your dinner.

"This restaurant is OK. The food is quite good but I am not sure what the hype is for. Yes, it's all farm to table, but this is the norm in many places nowadays. The deco is very old school and definitely un impressive. The service is good but uninspiring.
I went there with my parents. In three we shared a small starter, as main we orders one grilled salmon with potatoes and two lambs. They were tasty, but really nothing special. We also had two glasses of wine and one desert. With tip it came close to $90er person. Dinner was OK, but honestly the price tag is not justified.
