"The food and service were first rate at our recent dinner at Fiola. The waiter was very engaging, very knowledgeable and most helpful. The food was astonishingly good. This is not a casual dining restaurant. The prices are formidable but the cooking is too. Can't wait to return (perhaps after winning the Lottery.)"

Located in Pentagon Row, Lebanese Taverna serves authentic Middle Eastern fare in a casual yet stylish setting. The menu boasts over 25 appetizers and salads as well as a variety of grilled lamb, beef, chicken and fish entrees. There is a large selection of vegetarian dishes, too. To complement your dining experience, choose from our award-winning wine list or specialty cocktails. The restaurant is child-friendly and great for groups of all sizes.

"Rasika remains a wonderful dining experience. I would skip the house specialty cocktails and head straight to the wine list, which is pricey but full of interesting choices. There is no better Indian food to be had in DC. Between meals here I remember fondly the spinach appetizer and it's enough to draw me back repeatedly. (Waiter: "Do you want to share?" Everyone at table: "NO! We each want one.") If you haven't eaten here, you should. If you have, you know what I mean when I say it is very special!"

"Station 4 was packed at our late brunch on Saturday. There were several large parties going on and the noise level was through the roof! The food was good, as it usually is, but the din was so great we could barely hear our table mates. The server struggled to keep pace with the table of twelve adjacent to the four persons in our party. While we all enjoyed our food, departing was a pleasure as the roar of the crowd distracted greatly from our enjoyment of the overall experience."

Jaleo brings alive the spirit and flavors of Spain with a menu reflecting the rich regional diversity of classical and contemporary Spanish cuisine, under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés. Jaleo offers an impressive assortment of tapas, the traditional small dishes of Spain, as well as savory paellas, superb sangrias and a fine selection of Spanish wines and Sherries in a festive, casual atmosphere.

"My wife's favorite tapa at Jaleo, where we have eaten innumerable times. was tomato bread with manchego cheese which was priced at around $9,00, Now you can order the tomato bread for $8.50 but the manchego is available only as a whole plate of cheese (for $14.00) OR as part of another plate with apples. SO, to replicate the former tomato bread with manchego, you'd now have to pay $22.50! We asked the strolling manager if we were interpreting the menu correctly and he said yes, we were. It strikes me as outrageous that this evolution has occurred at what was once our favorite restaurant. (BTW, the croquettes with which we normally start meals at Jaleo were not hot when they were served.) Chef Andres has now spread himself too thin."

There's a time each year when Rome shimmers with a celebration known as "White Nights." It's an all-night festival of culture and the arts, but most importantly to us, it's a celebration of food and drink! Notti Bianche and Executive Chef Michael Cassady embrace this spirit each day serving seasonal, reasonably priced Italian trattoria fare throughout the day!

"The first 3 bottles of wine we ordered were not available. Our server said the wine list was about to change so their stock wasn't at normal levels. IMHO, if you don't have 3 of the 7 or 8 whites listed, you should let that be known up front. Choosing something they had available became literally a laughing matter, but frankly it wasn't that funny. As usual, the food was quire good. Minestrone and mixed green salad were very nice starters. Osso bucco and seafood pasta were both enjoyable. Maybe once the wine list is revamped, dining here won't be such a trying affair."

Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.
