"We were not guests at the Boar's Head, but went to the Old MIll Room while in Charlottesville because of its excellent reviews. They were justified. Go if you want an old-fashioned, traditional setting with high-quality cooking and a nice wine list. Our field greens came bundled in a ribbon of cucumber, strawberries scattered over the plate and a dribble of balsamic dressing. The salmon's saltimbocco preparation showed that the prosciutto and sage treatment works beautifully with fish. The veal medallions were a might overcooked and the creme caramel was a tad skimpy, but I quibble; both were very enjoyable. Service was ultra-attentive and the meal was well paced. Well worth the price."
