Located in the heart of Chicago's bustling West Loop neighborhood, Formento's is an Italian restaurant inspired by classic red-sauce joints of the 1950's. Created as a nod to the owner's grandmother, guests will enjoy traditional Italian family recipes, alongside new Italian-American favorites, all with a fresh culinary perspective from Chef/Partner Tony Quartaro. Two private event spaces can accommodate parties of 10 to 200 guests in an intimate second floor loft overlooking Restaurant Row, featuring a private bar and separate entrance. As the newest neighborhood landmark for late night bites, early morning noshes and everything in between, Miss Ricky’s is Chicago’s modern American diner experience. It’s our version of comfort food with a delightfully unexpected atmosphere.<br /><br />What you can expect are new classics like The Miss Ricky’s Burger, Great Lakes Reuben, and The Biggie Grilled Cheese. Need we say more?

"Ordering is tough at Miss Ricky's because everything on the menu sounds amazing. We had the Chicken & Waffles, and the chicken and waffle were both great, but the stand-out was the sriracha syrup. Great deviation from the traditional or bourbon maple syrup you find elsewhere. The PB&J, made with nutella instead of PB was also excellent, and even the broccoli side (market veggies) were well-spiced and delicious. And, unlike some other hotel restaurants, everything on the menu is at a reasonable price point. Our server was very nice and attentive. Be aware that the tables are very close together and can be hard to climb into, but overall we had a great experience and highly recommend! Check out Commons Club upstairs for a drink before /after. Miss Ricky's is a wonderful addition to the dinner options in the loop."

From the team behind Blackbird and avec comes this homage to beer, pork, and fish. Executive Chef Paul Kahan and Chef de Cuisine Cosmo Goss have developed a network of proveyors to supply the restaurant with hand-selected, sustainably-harvested fish and seafood as well as sustainably-raised heirloom pork to anchor a rustic menu of simple, eclectic fare. The extensive international beer list, developed by partners Eduard Seitan and Terry Alexander, features 100 or so ales, lagers, stouts and ciders by the bottle, 12 of those available on tap. Like Blackbird and avec, The Publican is a design partnership from the James Beard Award-winning team of Thomas Schlesser and partner Donnie Madia.

"We went for a Saturday brunch and everything we ordered was delicious. The only thing I will say is that we all left still hungry after one entree each. Be prepared to drop extra cash on apps/sides to round out the meal! Definitely get the bourbon bacon."
