A throw back to the 1950's, this authentic Paris cafe in the heart of the theater district will not only seduce you with its elegant charm and quiet ambiance but will take you to Paris with all its delights.
Inside the restaurant, a zinc top bar circles from the main dining room to the cocktail lounge. White, green and gold ceramic tiles line the wall behind the bar leading to a glass enclosed wine room.
The main dining area has saffron colored walls, a pastel terracotta tiled floor, and antique mirrors along the ceiling. Wide cylinder shaped sconces form a circle overhead while wall sconces cast a soft glow through out the room. Colorful rattan furniture line the front of the room to create a casual cafe feel.
Rows of light wood French doors open Champs Elysees style onto the sidewalk of people watching pedestrian at this busy cross section of theater land.
This loving re-creation touches all the visual and culinary bases. The essence of a French bistro.

"We went to Allegria for their new High Tea; and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The food was good, it's your typical high tea, with sandwiches; WARM scones which was a bonus, and a good selection of teas.
What set this one apart from other high teas was the wonderful service, and the gorgeous view. Our server (John I believe) made us feel welcomed, relaxed and totally pampered. He was also knowledgeable in the teas.
We also enjoyed a view of a beautiful sunny afternoon, the boardwalk and the beach.
I would recommend Allegria's high tea, it's totally worth it.

"Love the atmosphere; reminds me of a cafe in Paris. Food is delicious; service is very good; prices are reasonable. Everything about the place is good; except.....tight spaces! Tables are small, and you are cramped in your seat. People are bumping into your seat as they are passing by, as are waiters. Otherwise, excellent place, I'd come back in a heartbeat."

"We've eaten at Novita many times, great happy hour, fun dinner. This time was a Sunday brunch & the restaurant was hosting at least two separate private parties leaving only a few tables for Sunday brunch & despite our reservations, we had a 35 minute wait for our table. Though the host apologized twice, we still had a long wait."

City Cellar Wine Bar & Grill offers a varied menu including delicious hearth baked pizza, dry aged steaks, housemade fresh pasta and seafood. Some of the more popular dishes are Gulf Shrimp & Sea Scallop Risotto and housemade Charcuterie. The menu also features a daily selection of hard to find artisanal cheeses. The desserts are all enticing, all house made and all delicious. The restaurant features a huge award winning wine collection that can be sampled by the bottle, glass or "flight." City Cellar has been named one of The Top Ten Long Island Restaurants by Newsday and called "A sure thing" by The New York Times.

We'll always have Paris in Bryant Park. Cozily situated behind landmark New York Public Library, Bryant Park serves as a stunning backdrop for this New American Grill & Cafe. Bryant Park Grill's elegant & sophisticated dining room is perfect for your business lunch or a night out on the town with friends. Enjoy a romantic dinner or a festive party under Bryant Park's heated holiday tent in the winter, while seasonal patio & roof dining are sure to make your summer evenings magical. For more casual dining, visit Bryant Park Cafe next door or just hang out at the Cafe Bar.

The New York Times says that Bryant Park has become one of Manhattans loveliest public spaces, that has open air Bryant Park Cafe for casual dining and Bryant Park Grill for serious meals. The Grill is a gorgeous pavilion with a Hunt Slonem mural of birds stretching along one side of the dining room.

"Such a gem in this area, in the midst of a park, great views, food is wonderful, innovative, something for everyone & Nice Ambience. We were sitting in the enclosed garden room which is truly beautiful, however, we were there in a sunny, warm Fall day & the garden room had heat blasting making it unbearably hot. We had to ask to sit inside the dining room."
