Six Penn Kitchen features fresh, carefully crafted, all-American cuisine. The menu highlights seasonal ingredients and takes an updated approach to regional classics. From stocks, sauces & charcuterie techniques in the kitchen, to the vermouth soaked olives & marinated maraschino cherries at the bar, everything is expertly prepared and crafted in-house. Both the food & cocktail menu change frequently taking advantage of seasonal products delivered by outstanding local farms & growers' cooperatives. By paying attention to the basics- true hospitality, great food, and a casually sophisticated environment - Six Penn Kitchen is a place where guests can kick back, slow down & enjoy the pleasure of great food, drink and conversation. Six Penn Kitchen looks forward to welcoming you!

"Six Penn has always had a can't miss location, and at times the food has been outstanding. This past week when we dined there were issues. It began when we were seated near the "bar" where the staff does the cooking. We had an early reservation and there were quite a few open tables, but near the cooks we were put. And while in the past that has been a noisier area of the restaurant this evening it was so loud we could not talk to each other without leaning across the table and cupping our ears which was quite frustrating. I truly see no need for the clientele to have to listen to someone shout every order to the cooks to the extent that it interferes with dining and discussion. I would strongly encourage the chef and management to implement a new system.
When the bread service arrived there was a delightful spread, and a wheat bread with raisins that was good, and a white bread that was stale. Everything tasted fine but it leaves you wondering about what is happening with the food.
The rest of our food was decent except for the Barramundi. It was served with a risotto and had terrific flavors but managed to be chewy or rubbery in a way I had not seen fish pull off before. I actually had to use a knife and some significant effort to cut it. I would have commented to someone but service was slow, notably absent from the floor for what seemed like long stretches of time, and we had a show to make. I have had some good meals here in the past, and will try again, but the chef and staff need to pay a bit more attention to details."
