"Took the parents here for mid-week dinner. We started with skillet corn bread and deviled eggs (the eggs looked a bit like they'd been sitting around in the fridge a while...). For our mains we had chicken & waffles, meatloaf, Yankee pot roast and the butternut squash ravioli with chicken cutlet. We shared an order of beignets for pudding. Overall, our food was good and our server was really nice but they did appear to be short-staffed as service wasn't as attentive as it has been in the past."

Situated in the heart of the upscale Chevy Chase shopping district, the decor of this two-level restaurant celebrates the golden age of travel with steamships, planes, and the famed Orient Express rail line. Chef Derrick Jackson uses flavorful, fresh ingredients to prepare American-style cuisine in the Travel Rooms on the main level, or in the casual atmosphere of the downstairs Race Bar and Dining Room. Bar on main level, and a new outside bar and dining area.

"Ate dinner with family at Clyde's Chevy Chase and overall our experience was decent. However, like most Clyde's restaurants, it wasn't exceptional. We all had the Maryland crab soup to start and while tasty, there were no crab 'bits' to be found - just the taste of crab. This was followed by three filet steaks and one ravioli dish. Although one member of my party was particularly picky about his steak, the other two were happy. We ordered house wine and it was also fine. The one thing I must comment on was the service; contrary to other reviewers, our serving staff were attentive, speedy and really sweet. Management also were very accommodating to my one family member's very picky tastes."

"Although I'd been to Founding Farmers many times before, this was the first time I'd tried their brunch. I had the Farmer's Breakfast with hash browns and salad, and a hibiscus soda. Food was delicious as always. Service was attentive and price was decent. The place was buzzing for father's day."

"Although I'd been to Bistrot Lepic for dinner, I figured I'd try it out with a friend for Saturday brunch. When we arrived at 11:15, the restaurant was pretty empty, but our wait staff was super friendly and service was efficient. My friend had the Poached eggs with spinach and crabmeat and I had the three-egg omelet. We also shared an order of fries, which were fantastic! Food was fresh, seasoned perfectly and the fresh bread was wonderful. A great brunch and we'll return!"

If you are looking for a unique place to go for brunch, lunch, or dinner, Brasserie Monte Carlo is the place to go. Stepping into the restaurant, one can not help but notice the beautiful mural (designed by Dianne Hoppman) that takes up the whole right wall, and the rustic decor that helps add warmth to the room. Sonny Abraham owner/chef of Brasserie Monte Carlo has been in the restaurant business since 1985. Sonny has done a wonderful job of staffing his restaurant with only the best. He personally completed his culinary training in Lausanne, Switzerland and his matre d' worked at the Watergate Hotel in Washington, DC. It is truly a team effort at Brasserie Monte Carlo, at times you may even see Sonny waiting on a table to help his staff out, or helping in the kitchen or even providing wine service. Sonny's goal is to bring the taste of Washington's well known restaurants to downtown Bethesda but for a fraction of the cost maintaining quality, value and service.

"After reading so many good reviews of Brasserie Monte Carlo, I was looking forward to redeeming a Groupon for two 3-course meals with my husband. Unfortunately our experience did not live nearly as close to the hype. We arrived for dinner on a Saturday night, and the restaurant was half-full, but service was exceedingly slow. After uninspiring starters (garden salad with fennel and canned sardines with salad); our mains arrived. My trout with tomatoes, onions and capers in a white wine sauce tasted of canned tomatoes and was luke-warm. I'm not sure the trout was very fresh either. My husband's beef was OK but we were turned off by what was obviously re-heated potato fondants. Warm apple tart was only just about warm and tasted stale."

Petits Plats is a very pretty French bistro located in a town house directly across from the Woodley Park metro stop, the Marriott Wardman and Omni Shoreham Hotels. Step inside and you will find affordable delicious food in a very romantic atmosphere. On cold days, dining next to one of the 4 wood burning fireplaces is a nice touch. Summer time, enjoy the great view sitting outside in our private patio: watching the passersby on busy Connecticut avenue is a major amusement!

"Met a friend for a Friday night meal at Petit Plats. The inside dining room was very quaint, but in the heat it was quite warm. My friend and I shared two appetizers (both salads) that were lovely. I had the trout with almonds and the fish was cooked to perfection. Our lovely and very friendly server also recommended a divine glass of Sancerre. Would return for sure - a nice neighborhood gem."

The lifestyle and food culture celebrated on an estancia, a large South American vineyard estate, is the inspiration for Victor Albisu’s flagship restaurant in the Chinatown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The airy, 174-seat agrarian space is home to a meat-driven, wine-centric menu that is a product of Albisu’s Latin American roots and travels throughout Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay.

"Brought the other half here for a birthday dinner. Wonderful (but expensive) wine list, interesting craft cocktails and AMAZING bread to start. Everything on the menu has an element of 'smoke' or 'burnt' to it, and we started with salmon ceviche (including creamy avocado and burnt shallots), beef empanadas (lovely garlic sauce). For a main, we shared the rib tips (delicious!) and the cilantro-encrusted tuna (which was actually a bit too spicy for my palate). For our last course we shared the s'mores which was delicious -- especially the toasted marshmallow ice cream. Service was outstanding. Our server was hugely knowledgeable and extremely attentive. The place was buzzing -- if you want a romantic, quiet table this isn't for you."

"Ate at Indique Heights after purchasing a Groupon. We love a good curry so decided to try. The restaurant is fairly large but it feels a bit dated with smudges all over the walls and chairs with tired fabric. Was 1/2 full on a Wednesday night at around 8 pm. We ordered a vegetarian thali and a chicken dish. Overall food was ok -- not great but nothing to complain about either. However, the service was abysmal. Our server was sullen, brought out the wrong drink order and as soon as our food arrived he positively ignored us. We had to wait ages for the check and he even passed right by our table at one point -- not to check in with us, but to push in a chair on another empty table! We'll not be returning here."
