"Ate lunch at Terasol with a work colleague and because we were pressed for time, we didn't indulge in starters or dessert. We both had lemonade and iced tea, followed by a salmon nicoise salad and quiche Lorraine. Overall the food was very good. It would have been nice to have some green salad served with the quiche Lorraine (instead it was served with a potato salad and some pickles vegetables, but overall we enjoyed ourselves and the prices were reasonable. The restaurant was nearly empty for lunch (we arrived at 11:30), so service was prompt and friendly."

"Ate lunch with a colleague and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sun which was great. Service was lovely -- while we didn't order starters, our mango sodas were delicious and our mains (a goat's cheese tart and crazy corn salad) were fresh and well prepared. Always good at Founding Farmers Montgomery County and we'll return again."

"Met another couple for Saturday dinner at Ripple. We started at the bar and enjoyed some lovely red wine. Sat down for dinner and really enjoyed the homemade and fresh corn bread. We did not order starters, but our mains included duck breast, monkfish and two small plates (chilled crab soup and heirloom tomatoes with ricotta, cashews and peaches). We then shared some cheeses, which were totally disappointing! Not because of taste but because you pay $5 for two teeny tiny slices of cheese! Ridiculous. We paid over $30 for the most pathetic cheese plate, not cool. Everything else was good."

"Ate brunch with a family member during restaurant week. While I opted for the three-course menu (gazpacho, open-faced tuna sandwich and chocolate mouse), my cousin ordered a small salad and quiche. Hers was actually better by far. While the gazpacho was actually wonderful, the tuna sandwich tasted stale and had been over-grilled. I had major order envy. Having said this, the service was wonderful."

"Brought two out-of-town visitors to Founding Farmers DC for dinner. I find it highly irritating that the restaurant has such a strict reservation policy (show up late, we'll give your table away; we won't seat you until your whole party is there) -- especially when my party arrived in whole and on time for our 7:15 reservation and we were made to wait 25 minutes to be seated. Very one-way system, in my opinion. When we finally were seated, our server was lovely and our drinks were delicious, but the food left a lot to be desired. Two of us ordered the rotisserie chicken which was dry and accompanied by under-cooked and very bland broccoli. Am getting tired of the hype of this place. At least the Montgomery Location is much better...."

"Ate at the Hamilton with two out of town guests. The place was packed and our server was really nice and attentive. We had a variety of mains, ranging from steak to chicken, pasta and burgers. I ordered the gnocchi which to be honest wasn't that great. It had a ragu of roasted vegetables that tasted as if they'd been recycled from a previous dinner-- overcooked and rubbery. Everyone else enjoyed theirs so perhaps I was the exception."

Chef Martin Lackovic, formerly of Galileo, I Matti and The Caucus Room, opens Siroc Restaurant on McPherson Square with brothers Keram and Mehdi Dris, who run the front of the house. Siroc's seasonal menu features cooking inspired by Italy and the Mediterranean with housemade pastas, charcuterie, salads and entrées. The new restaurant takes its name from a wind that blows from northern Africa to Italy and the Mediterranean.

"Ate at Siroc with two of my colleagues. We'd heard good things about the restaurant and we weren't disappointed. However, it isn't a super high-end restaurant - more of average quality. None of us ordered starters, but we all tucked into mains, including a salmon salad, steak sandwich and the filet of red snapper. The mains were nice, although the fish was a bit tough. We shared an order of gelato for pudding, and we weren't all that impressed -- it was full of ice crystals so gave the impression of not being fresh. The restaurant was very busy, but we did have a hard time getting our server to pay attention to us - it took ages to get the check. Would probably return, but it wasn't one of the most memorable lunches I've had in DC...."

"Took the parents here for mid-week dinner. We started with skillet corn bread and deviled eggs (the eggs looked a bit like they'd been sitting around in the fridge a while...). For our mains we had chicken & waffles, meatloaf, Yankee pot roast and the butternut squash ravioli with chicken cutlet. We shared an order of beignets for pudding. Overall, our food was good and our server was really nice but they did appear to be short-staffed as service wasn't as attentive as it has been in the past."

Situated in the heart of the upscale Chevy Chase shopping district, the decor of this two-level restaurant celebrates the golden age of travel with steamships, planes, and the famed Orient Express rail line. Chef Derrick Jackson uses flavorful, fresh ingredients to prepare American-style cuisine in the Travel Rooms on the main level, or in the casual atmosphere of the downstairs Race Bar and Dining Room. Bar on main level, and a new outside bar and dining area.

"Ate dinner with family at Clyde's Chevy Chase and overall our experience was decent. However, like most Clyde's restaurants, it wasn't exceptional. We all had the Maryland crab soup to start and while tasty, there were no crab 'bits' to be found - just the taste of crab. This was followed by three filet steaks and one ravioli dish. Although one member of my party was particularly picky about his steak, the other two were happy. We ordered house wine and it was also fine. The one thing I must comment on was the service; contrary to other reviewers, our serving staff were attentive, speedy and really sweet. Management also were very accommodating to my one family member's very picky tastes."

"Although I'd been to Founding Farmers many times before, this was the first time I'd tried their brunch. I had the Farmer's Breakfast with hash browns and salad, and a hibiscus soda. Food was delicious as always. Service was attentive and price was decent. The place was buzzing for father's day."
