Crudo means Raw in Italian, that is one of our specialties. Our sashimi style plates are started with fresh fish, olive oil, citrus and sea salt and finished with perfectly paired accompaniments to enhance the texture and flavor of the plate. Our modern Italian menu is inspired by local and seasonal ingredients to create unique and memorable dishes. In addition to crudo, we have a variety of handmade cooked dishes and wood fire grilled meats. In our bar and lounge you can enjoy a nibble with garden to glass cocktails or sip on after dinner drinks. Now serving Sunday Brunch with a variety of unique twists on traditional classics.

"Once you find it (behind a Indian School road strip mall) and park...allow time...you will hope it remains your own personal secret restaurant (not likely). Chef Cullen is probably THE most talented chef right now in Phoenix. I don't know why it took me so long to return but with AZ Restaurant Week in full swing last week...no more excuses! We had the 4 course menu with plenty of choices and an exquisite artisanal herbal vodka cocktail thrown in for good measure. Everything was fabu. Only downside was the bait & switch when offered, as a special, and then denied (after ordering) the olive oil chocolate cake with mascarpone for desert. Service was knowledgeable & attentive if a tad familiar...okay! The setting is comfortable & clean!!"

"We enjoyed our choices from the AZ Restaurant Week menu especially after being moved from a side room w/ banquet chairs usually used for functions. We asked politely and were graciously escorted into the main dining room where we could enjoy the traditional steakhouse clubby ambiance. The filet was the standout and it was adorned with gorgonzola & demi-glace sauce….totally Yummy. The sugar snap peas were positively candy-like. The "no problem, no problem, no problem" server was repetitively annoying but he got the job done…his assistant was spot on with water refills, plate clearing and coffee service."

"Had a nice restaurant week dinner here but honestly I expected more than I got. We had salad, veggies & crab toast for starters then Snapper (base VERY salty), catfish & flat iron steak for entrees with pecan pie & beigne's (?) for dessert. I guess I wondered why they didn't put any of their entree 'specialties' on the RW menu. The service here was lacking and it seemed that we were particularly service deprived as we noticed the service level at other nearby tables, in the hands of different waiters, was superior to ours. The overall feeling is that this is supposed to be a upscale/gourmet dining venue and, in our experience, it is not. The plates are pretty and the decor is very nice. No espresso machine….r-e-a-l-l-y…!!!???"

"Cru had been recommended to us by knowledgeable foodie friends so we decided to partake. As we entered though it was just a little cooler inside than out...meaning it was approaching 90 degrees (or so it seemed). I was starting to melt as we made our way there and I cooled myself nearly immediately with ice water and a glass of house sauvignon blanc so my face wouldn't end up in a pool on the floor. It REALLY was THAT hot!
I had a soup & 1/2 sandwich combo which consisted of cucumber watermelon soup with cocoanut milk (better sounding than tasting) and a perfect BLT on grilled ciabatta with shrimp added. I had made fresh tomato BLT's for the family the evening before and theirs, I'm horrified to admit, was better.
The service was Gr8!!!
