Hiro Sone and Lissa Doumani as chefs and co-owners of Terra Restaurant in St. Helena, have brought their sense of taste and style to Ame Restaurant. Ame offers a relaxed yet elegant dining experience.

Guests will be welcomed to the intimate, L-shaped dining room by rich mesquite wood floors and striking surroundings. The interior of the restaurant includes a custom designed raw bar, a stunning red lacquered wall, and the restaurant’s signature “red table,” a five-foot square table. The menu showcases seasonal New American cuisine, with a blending of flavors from southern France, northern Italy and Japan. Guests can select from raw treatments from the
raw bar, such as crudo and tartare, as well as a range of appetizer and entree plates, and an assortment of artisan cheese and desserts.

"High expectations where met. Between Michelin, Yelp, Zagat and Open Table, this had to be amazing food and it was. Of course pricy, but if you can withstand the temptation to order a bottle of wine (I know, hard...) the food is not crazy expensive. We spend about 220 for two (tip included, with a glass of wine each). The seafood special (scallops, salmon) was unique, delicately spices, and serviced with black organic rice. The main lobster tail was it should be. Service professional."

For centuries, cafes the world over have provided patrons with entertainment that draws on all walks of life. In these gathering places of art, politics, fashion, and everyday events, cafe-goers partake in a unique convergence of eclectic culture and traditional cuisine. Parisian-inspired Cafe de la Presse continues the trend with international literature, classic fare, and the age-old pastime of dining, relaxing, and conversing in a vibrant atmosphere.

"I met a fiend for dinner because his hotel was close by and for me it's a nice walk over. A great find! Very friendly and professional (great but rare combination) service. A very reasonably priced and delicious Rioja. We shared the cheese charcuterie (excellent!!) and then the pasta (bolognese), one of the best I ever had!!"

"I met 3 friends here, and we had a good evening. Cocktails were pretty good. The food was standard (means good, tasty, but not unique or creative). We shared a few appetizers. I had the steak frites. Only disappointment was the $55 Willamette Valley wine which very mediocre. Not worth more than 30$ (restaurant price)."

"Nice ambiance, delicious food (hard to chose, everything looked amazing), and a nice Rioja. Little bit pricy (at almost 200$ for two with wine and tip). The small dishes add up fast and the wine is good but a bit overpriced.
Server was a point of criticism. We clearly we enjoying ourselves, talking and taking our time and after the 4th time she came by to ask in a short time, felt rush to order something.
Could be a bad coincident, but there were two groups of at least 10 sequentially close to us. That is too large for a place this size. Way to noisy. The 'energetic' means one more level. Too much noise.

"Delicious, mostly, French food. Some hints on the menu of Americanization. The (cold) froid gras is good, not outstanding. The steak is very delicate. Not cheap, but definitely not outrageously expensive. Good price/ quality. Very good atmosphere. I went with a friend, but definetley suitable for (early) dates."

"Outside is first come first serve. Although along the Embarcadero, I would still prefer to sit outside, but the ambiance inside is also great. Service was ok, friendly, but not outstanding. Food was delicious. We shared sashimi and sushi. The waiters need to know more about the wine. I asked for the most 'oaky' chardonnay, paid almost 100$ for 1 bottle (was the second bottle), and it was a good wine, but not oaky."
