ChoLon Market, the largest Chinese-influenced market in Saigon, helped serve as inspiration for Chef Lon Symensma’s Cholon Bistro. The LoDo restaurant showcases his passion for Asian ingredients and French cooking techniques in a striking, eco-friendly space. ChoLon serves lunch and dinner, as well as a small bites menu that is available throughout the day, in a welcoming environment for all ages. The menu features inspired interpretations of traditional Asian dishes. "Many of my dishes are twists on classical Asian cuisine," says Symensma. "I enjoy sharing my own personal perspective on the flavors of Asia." The menu offers several categories designed to allow guests to sample and share many different tastes and flavors during their meal. The bar and lounge serves handcrafted, artisanal cocktails developed to enhance Symensma's creations. The venue is also ideal for business meetings and presentations, featuring a large projection screen in the lounge area.

Chef Frank Bonanno dug into his Sicilian heritage and east coast roots to create this authentic Italian Eatery. Brightly painted walls and contemporary art create an upscale, urban feel at Luca d’Italia, where knowledgeable servers quickly meet your needs and engage easily in conversation about a menu that changes monthly. Luca has amazing personal touches from the daily made breads and pastas to the meats and cheeses that are cured in house, to the charcoal drawing of Bonanno’s son (and the restaurant’s namesake) that hangs in the dining room. Luca d’Italia is colorful, lively, and tasty; the menu is designed for gluttonous abandon. It’s not your ordinary pile-of-pasta-and-sauce Italian joint; it’s the real (and tasty) deal.

"Whenever I eat at Luca I'm left wondering why it isn't consistently ranked as one of the very best restaurants in the city. The food is incredible; light, flavorful and imaginative. The service is perfect. The drinks are great and the wine list is wonderful. Fully deserving of all 5 stars."

"The ambiance is great so long as you expect industrial chic. This was our second time and the apps/salads are outstanding. The mains were not as good this time as last, the duck was a bit salty and the beet gnocchi was a bit bland, but this is really looking for things to critique. Food is first rate; bar/drinks are as good as any other restaurant in the city; service is exceptional; and I love the vibe!"

Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian brings his vision of a contemporary New York grand café to life at The National Bar & Dining Rooms. Housed in the same 1927 Emery Roth-designed building as The Benjamin Hotel, The National's all-occasion modern bistro offerings satiate guests from breakfast through late night. Modeled after the celebrated grand cafés in Europe, The National is both residential and metropolitan in design and offers thoughtful details such as antiqued mirrors, a bronze spiral staircase, distressed peacock blue and chocolate leather banquettes, classic marble table tops, and black and white glazed-tile flooring.

Each Sunday evening from 6pm to 10pm, The National features a lineup of New York City bands performing an array of musical selections such as classic jazz, funk, blues, and more.

Carmine's on Penn was established in 1994 as a neighborhood, family-style Italian restaurant. Our atmosphere is casual, festive, and friendly. Our servers bring the chalkboard menu to life, describing dishes and offering advice on selecting just the right combination of food and beverage.
