The East Ender offers new American food with bold New England flavors specializing in slow smoked BBQ. East Ender appreciates the philosophy of nose to tale cooking. We source products from local farmers and purveyors. Quality local ingredients allow East Ender to create a menu from scratch and present it in an approachable and affordable way. Seriously good food, in a seriously casual environment. A neighborhood meeting place to enjoy house cocktails, craft-beers, and wine that caters to the cuisine. Our menu offers seasonal snacks, salads, sandwiches, entrees and desserts.

"This was a great find for us. We sat inside but there is table seating on the sidewalk. You are away from the water but East Ender is so worth the trip.
First, I had a Mule (vodka, blood orange, lime & ginger beer) - it tasted like a sweet tart! The menu is fun to read and everything sounds delicious! Any place that has deviled eggs on the menu for an app is a find (IMO). I had the lobster on a bun with fries - it was amazing....flavorful, lots of lobster and just a treat. My finance had the lobster salad - salad with 3oz of lobster on top. Prices are reasonable and service top rate! Highly recommend - can't wait to go back for dinner and brunch!

The Old Port Sea Grill, located in the heart of the Old Port, serves the freshest seafood prepared simply so that you can taste the flavor and quality of the product. We offer the largest selection of oysters on the half shell in town, with varieties from across New England and Canada, providing you with a unique experience here in Portland. Of course, we always offer a traditional steamed Maine lobster and one of the best lobster rolls in Portland. Take in the city streets from our picture windows while relaxing with friends, entertaining business associates or watching our flat screen TVs. We have sixty four seats in our dining room and over fifty in our bar and lounge area, featuring our custom-built marble and concrete bar, allowing plenty of room for larger parties and gatherings in either area. We always feaure local micro brews on tap and have a specialty cocktail menu that changes seasonally. Be sure to check out our 500 gallon aquarium, one of the largest in the area.

"We were looking for a quick bite so we opted for the bar. Drinks came quickly; I asked a few questions & we ordered. Then we waited, & waited, & waited. Couple that came in after us got their food, ate & left before our food came - we did not order anything complicated - mussels & caesar salad. Bartender came by once to say it would be out shortly. As we were about to leave - food arrived. Mussels were great - bread delicious, caesar with shrimp was fine but by this point wait soured our visit. Reviews claim 1 of the best lobster rolls but at $21 what I saw was not too impressive. The bartender comp'd our drinks which was lovely but overall we likely would not go back when there are so many other restaurants in this city."
