First Crush promotes a “casual upscale” atmosphere for individuals, private events and large parties in the heart of San Francisco’s Union Square district, offering hand-crafted quality food using the freshest ingredients complemented with a massive all-California wine list - served affordably with professional service in an energetic, lively environment.

The restaurant has been awarded the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for 2001-2014.

"We are frequent diners at First Crush and it seems to be changing. They keep raising the price of their lobster mac and cheese - boo! Food is good but the speed of our food coming out was quite slow. We wanted to do dessert but we did not have time. Wish they would bring back the brief happy hour that they had. This time the price wasn't quite worth the visit."

Tal-y-Tara is San Francisco’s most charming hidden treasure! Step inside the warm and inviting shop complete with an equestrian store in the front and English tea room in the back. Browse through our selection of teapots, teacups, tea cozies and other whimsical tea-inspired gifts. Relax and enjoy your cup of tea with our “Motorloaf” tea sandwiches served on semi-sweet dark bread, a secret family recipe. Enjoy our award-winning scones, served with Devonshire cream and jam, which are deliciously moist and sweet. And don’t forget English trifle for dessert. You’ll feel as though you have escaped to the English countryside where they know exactly what it takes to make a proper cup of tea!

"We really enjoyed all of the little sandwiches. The egg one was the best. And their warm scones are amazing!!! We are more of coffee drinkers so we will be back when their coffee machine is fixed. Definitely a wonderful little place."

Butterfly offers the perfect mix of food, atmosphere, an amazing California Wine List and great decor. Chef Robert Lam was named as a previous "Top 6 Rising Star Chef" by The Chronicle, Lam continues to impress by bringing his innovative California-Asian cuisine to the waterfront location on the Embarcadero. " Narsai David of KCBS said," Butterfly is a happening place". Best seafood soup, I have ever had!" A few suggestions Clams and Mussels, Salmon and Strawberry Rolls, Kalua Pig in Butter Lettuce Cups, Crispy Fried Whole Fish, and Banana Bread Pudding for dessert.

"Their food is always excellent. Both of our entrees were delicious. We also had their warm cookie for dessert which was wonderful although they need to put more ice cream on it. Our server was "just right". Checking in at the door could have been better and actually getting a quiet table which we requested would have been nice."
