We adhere to a strict moral code using only the highest quality extra virgin olive oil from Crete and fresh fish flown in daily from the Mediterranean. <br />Inside the modern ambiance there are threads of the traditional Greek eateries woven with the stylish island chic of Mykonos. We invite you to celebrate our centuries-old recipes, like fava from Santorini, all telling a new story of modern Greek cuisine with traditional ingredients taking inventive turns. <br />Prepared traditionally, re-imagined contemporary. our Ethos is an adherence to the purity of the sea and the sun, the freshness of our ingredients and the spirit of our beautiful culture. <br />“Ya mas” as we say in Greece, or “To Our Health”.<br />

Amali is a sustainably driven Mediterranean restaurant. Rather than write about ourselves, we prefer to let the press speak for us.<br /><br />Eater 38 Essential New York Restaurants 2013-2014<br />This handsome Mediterranean restaurant serves one of the city's top brick chickens, and the seafood, pasta dishes, and charcuterie are just as good. Amali is also something of a destination for Greek wine enthusiasts.<br /><br />Critic's Recommendation, NYT, 2012. Amali has a commitment to seasonality and sustainability and a daring wine list. <br /><br />Two Stars, Adam Platt, NY Mag, 2012. A success...It gives over a whole section of the appetizer menu to salads and vegetables along with an impressive wine bottle list.<br /><br />Wine & Spirits Magazine, Top Newcomer 2012. Now celebrating its fiftieth anniversary under the ownership of Georges Briguet, since 1964 Le Périgord has offered classic French cuisine in an elegant setting in midtown Manhattan. Recently renovated, Le Périgord is a premier destination for French cuisine in New York. The New York Times calls it “a French restaurant the way French restaurants used to be,” complete with white tablecloths and exemplary service from wait staff in tuxedos.<br />Besides tableside service of Dover sole, duck à l’orange and rack of lamb, the traditional menu also includes such staples as individual beef Wellington, pike quenelles, coquilles St. Jacques and kidneys in mustard sauce. And don’t forget to leave room for the fabulous soufflés and the legendary “temptation trolley” of desserts, which always includes such timeless favorites as tarte Tatin, chocolate mousse and floating islands. The extensive, award-wining wine list includes a fine selection of old and recent vintages at sensible prices.

Betony, named after an herb in the mint family known for its healing qualities, is a Modern American restaurant overseen by Executive Chef Bryce Shuman (the former Executive Sous Chef of Eleven Madison Park) and General Manager Eamon Rockey (formerly of Eleven Madison Park, Atera, and Aska ). The restaurant, which is located a block off of Fifth Avenue, features soaring ceilings, contemporary photos of New York City street scenes, a 35-seat bar and lounge and 85-seat dining room.

"A poor excuse for an up scale restaurant. The menu is not only brief, but does not adequately describe the ridiculously small portions. The waitstaff in describing the entrees gloss over the most important points about the food. I had family from out of town and I wanted to show them the best of NY. It turned out to be an embarrassing evening."

With our 150 bottle wine list with 50 wines by the glass, Undercurrent has been recognized multiple years by both Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast. We have been rated consistently tops in our class of restaurants. The ambiance is truly one of the nicest in the area with big tables, nice chairs, and ample space for you while dining. We now have a truly fabulous patio area. We seat our patio on a "first come first served basis". Please comment in your reservation notes that you would prefer the patio if available and we'll do our best to accommodate, but it is best to come in early. A comfortable bar is available to begin your dining experience or to visit after you dine. "With an abbreviated menu and wait staff that would not back off, I found dinner at Rouge Tomate disappointing at best. After making an Open Table reservation and being confirmed by Open Table a day before we were to go to Rouge Tomate, I had to go through the absolutely annoying phone call to confirm. The purpose of Open Table is not having to go through the nonsense of restaurant reservation novices who assume an absurdly haughty attitude"
