From the simple to the sophisticated, Solo Bistro serves up delicious dishes made from scratch, with an emphasis on fresh, local and organic ingredients. Winner of the Sante Magazine Innovative Culinary Hospitality Award and multiple Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence, Solo Bistro is a leader among the small but growing number of restaurants outside Portland that are attracting national attention to the culinary possiblities in the great state of Maine. We strive for quality in everything we do with food, wine, beer and spirits at Solo. Great food and drink served in a modern setting in historic Bath, Maine, home of the Maine Maritime Museum.
World class cuisine in the City of Ships!

"Solo Bistro works hard to get patrons to expand their palates with unusual combinations (that work!), underutilized foods, local fresh ingredients, cooking styles from around the world, and a great $17.99 Prix Fixe 3 course dinner on Wednesdays that might push you out of your same-old same-old. There isn't a restaurant like it, that I know of, in Mid-Coast Maine. They also always have a burger (which is wonderful, btw) on their menu...so those who can't deal with something different can still find something to enjoy. Highly recommended."

"Food was ordinary - good. Nothing notable. On Saturday evening, relatively quiet at 7pm; loud and difficult to talk by 9pm."

An American Anthem to Life + Table

With his motorcycle license plate “BRAISE,” he is seeking out good fortune in the bounty and thoughtfulness of American farming, and bringing this centuries-old craft into the spotlight at ~Gypsy Soul~. This goes beyond farm-to-table. It is about the gathering of people and how each of us in this great community is connected by this common thread when we dine together. It is the conversation of food with guests and the love affair with it.

The menu features American fare both classic and contemporary, strong in flavor. Talented Cheftender Bryan Tetorakis from Rogue 24 designed the entire beverage repertoire. From local spirits from around the Mid-Atlantic and South to wines and cans of beer, there is a libation for all to imbibe on while enjoying Chef’s cuisine.

"The chicken skins on the appetizer menu have gotten quite a bit of press and mentions in reviews but that's only one note-worthy dish. Every entree we had (party of 5) was delicious. Desserts were fabulous too...apple tart and red velvet cake highly recommended. The one downside - it's very noisy, even on a Thursday evening."

The grand dame of New Orleans' old-line restaurants, Galatoire’s has remained committed to culinary excellence for more than a century. Under the guidance of the fourth generation of family ownership, it is her time-honored customs that still bind this renowned restaurant. Above all others, her rich tradition of serving authentic French Creole cuisine at a level that raises consistency to an art form. It is often said that the beauty of Galatoire’s is that things never change. Even after 100 years, ageless New Orleans favorites grace her menu just as they did in 1905.

"Indifferent service to our table set the tone for the evening including the server "not understanding" one of our party as he mispronounced a french word and then correcting him. Service seemed like it might have been better for other tables. Food was average. While we were seated in the quiet upstairs, it was still so loud that we were shouting to talk to each other, drowned out by a bachelorette party and other loud adult parties in the large upstairs room. Even talking to the person seated next to me was difficult. Would not recommend."

"After 2 nights of dining at very loud restaurants in NOLA, Tommy's was a nice break and our group could converse. One of our party commented that the black drum was the best he had had...and he had eaten black drum 3 nights in a row. Another friend said Tommy's was her favorite restaurant of our long weekend in NOLA. Jamie, our server, was wonderful. The restaurant was full, but it wasn't the noisy French Quarter type of crowd. Strongly recommend."

"When people ask where in New Orleans to go for great local seafood,
I want the answer to be Borgne." - Brian Landry, Executive Chef

Chefs John Besh and Brian Landry grew up fishing on Lake Borgne, the epicenter of coastal cuisine in Louisiana.
Their shared passion for Louisiana seafood brought them together to create Borgne, a celebration of coastal Louisiana with a touch of Isleño influence. Borgne will be a gathering place for locals and visitors alike, a CBD lunch spot, a quick bite before the game and a casual setting for a delicious dinner with friends.
Brx is a place where you can take your family or meet with your friends for some quality time and good food and drink. We wanted to create an atmosphere where people could gather casually in a sophisticated, yet down to earth locale. Brx's large dining room and outdoor patio offer a casual and comfortable ambiance to enjoy our American cuisine influenced by your favorite comfort foods. Our casual bar area is the perfect place for a glass of wine from our extensive wine list, or a round of beers with friends.
