Tennisnut's Reviews

Oyamel Cocina Mexicana combines Mexico’s rich regional culinary traditions with modern urban fare. Guests experience an array of antijitos—traditional Mexican snack or small plates—along with authentic tacos, ceviches and an impressive selection of cocktails and tequilas. This is like no Mexican food you have ever experienced. Under the direction of renowned chef José Andrés, Head Chef Colin King takes traditional ingredients and techniques and elevates them to deliver dishes and drinks with exceptional creativity and refinement.

"Ate here with a group of 6. Overall, the service was slow. Had to wait a long time to order. Then food comes out sporadically. Menu is a bit overwhelming. You need to make notes of what you order (3-5 tapas style dishes per person) because the names are in spanish and not easily memorable. The servers didn't know who got what so we had to figure it out. I thought the prices were high for what the food was and the portion sizes. $4 for a mini taco? Afterwords my husband and I said we'd rather go to Chipotle for a fraction of the cost."
