Firefly, the quintessential urban neighborhood restaurant, offers contemporary American comfort food to the city's many 'regulars' who dine out several times a week. Enjoy favorites like our matzoh ball soup, mini pot roast and a variety of 'Urban Picnics' to share...or not. We also have many seafood and some vegetarian options. The menu is designed to utilize products from our local farms and farmers. Hand-picked to compliment the cuisine, our award-winning wine list shows an affinity for small winemakers and producers and our seasonal specialty cocktail menu offers a bevy of unique libations.

"We were visiting and decided to give this spot a try for brunch (dinner looks good too) Nice gluten free options and tasty coffee. The place was very busy. Shirmp and grits were tasty and my kids loved the waffles and ricotta pancakes. Portions are perfect; not too big and not too small. Service is spotty. I would give this a try on another visit for dinner due to their gluten free options and tasty looking small plates."

"I was really excited to check out this place while on vacation in D.C. We are from Minneapolis, and we have lots and lots of farm to table restaurants, and we dine there frequently. I love the concept of Founding Farmers, but it just didn't blow me awy. The service was very attentive (I think they wanted us out the door because there were plenty of folks who weren't wise enough to make a reservation on Open Table waiting for spots.) Lots of options, and the short ribs, burgers, and swordfish were good and generously sized Sides were also plentiful. All good, just not out of this world."

In 2007, we opened Casa Oaxaca in Washington, D.C., a traditional restaurant that brings the flavors and colors of Mexico to the capital city of U.S. Our main objective is to give Washingtonians a better exposure to the richness and diversity of Mexican cuisine. At Casa Oaxaca, mole sauces are our specialty and we have six types that you will be able to taste with chicken, beef, seafood or tortillas.

"We ate here one night while on vacation in D.C. The service was very friendly, the waiters were so sweet to help my kids practice their Spanish. The lamb tacos were awesome, and they make a mean Old Fashioned."

"Nice buffet and large menu for lunch. I had soup and salad off the menu and my husband had the buffet. Good food, although nothing special. This is a good spot if you want a quick sit down lunch at a decent price."

"Haven't been here for awhile,so we decided to come during Restaurant Week. The menu was lovely and the service was friendly and attentive. Started with the steak tartare and it was very good. I had the diver scallops and my husband had the pork tenderloin; both were very good. We will certainly come back again soon. They have a nice "date night" deal on Sundays too - 3 course meal plus wine for $50!"

Opened in 1999, Restaurant Alma is a casual fine dining restaurant, offering eclectic American cuisine and warm hospitality in a rustic historically preserved building. A high, open beam ceiling, exposed brick columns and concrete floors display the original space, while an open kitchen, banquette seating and gentle lighting contribute to an intimate and contemporary feel.

Alma is best known for sourcing the best quality seasonal ingredients available and features a high percentage of local and organic products. Our menu changes every six to eight weeks, offering both new and signature dishes. We feature both a three course tasting menu format, allowing the customer to select any three dishes from the menu for $50 and a la carte options.

Alma has been awarded 4 stars by the StarTribune and shares the #1 food ranking in ZAGAT for Minneapolis/St. Paul

"The restaurant offers a 3 course tasting menu at this time for $52. All courses featured tasty options (even for my husband who has celiac). Both starters we had were tasty, bison tartar and winter endive salad. I loved our second courses the best - the celery root and smoke duck soup and the carnaroli rice & octopus. This was our favorite course. The main were also good, chili rubbed scallops (although they were a tad salty) and the smoked mahi mahi. we ended the meal with some cheese selections. The server knew we were gluten free, so brought out some tasty GF crackers. They service was thoughtful and attentive. For those of you who like to bring your own wine, corkage is $15."

Welcome to Eat Shop.
Guess what? We are not a sports bar. We are also not a chain. Furthermore, we know our name is a little quirky and unexpected, but so are we. And it kinda grew on us.
Who are we? We are local. We are from the area and noticed how hard it was to get a decent glass of wine. We thought it might be nice to have a place where people could pop in and enjoy some swordfish tacos and a pint of local beer after a movie or grab the neighbors and sink into a big round booth with plates of pasta, and duck salad, maybe a steak or burger, if that is what you're feeling.
We want to be your watering hole, your meet-up, your hang out. We can't promise to be everything to everyone, we won't have trivia nights and probably won't fire up the old popcorn machine, but we will do our best to serve you fresh and modern American food and drinks that give you something to look forward to. We hope we kinda grow on you, too.

"If you like to eat a restaurants that are not a chain, this is the place for you in Plymouth. We eat out a lot and generally head out of the 'burbs when we do it. Eat Shop is a nice option for good food close by. I think the duck salad is the best thing on the menu. Good for lunch and great happy hour options. Service is spotty, not always as attentive as it should be. When we were here for dinner they had some issues with music - it was really loud for awhile (hard to hear people sitting next to you), but they figured that out quick enough to make for an enjoyable family dinner."
