X2O Xaviars on the Hudson is Peter X Kelly’s latest addition to the Xaviars Restaurant Group. It sits in the water on the only turn of the century Victorian pier still in use on the Hudson River. X2O’s Main Dining Salon's 25 foot vaulted ceiling and 3 walls of glass frame offers views of the George Washington and Tappan Zee Bridges, as well as sunsets over the Palisades. Guests encounter dishes incorporating classic French technique with Italian and Spanish influences, and Asian embellishments which create a wholly original cuisine unique to the Hudson Valley. The Dylan Lounge is a vibrant, up-tempo space with a sophisticated and playful bent that offers guests more dining options. Guests are invited to sample a variety of small plates and sushi, while dining at the Communal Table, sushi bar, or at traditional banquette and table seating.

"Great location with a perfect view. Definitely not kid friendly since there are only two kid friendly menu items available. Pasta or chicken fingers. The food was way below the level of expectation. The BLT salad was more like "BLA" salad. Nothing more than wilted lettuce poorly dressed, a few tomatoes and a poorly coked piece of bacon. The grilled octopus was rubbery and overloaded with Frisse lettuce. The best dish was the sliders, which we had to request because it is only available at the lounge. We ordered the rib eye for two which was recommended to us. The steak was very good but the potatoes augratin were overpowering in cheese flavor, greasy and poorly done. Definitely not worth eating with the steak. The cream spinach was fine, nothing to brag about. We hopped Dessert would make up for the disappointment with the appetizers and main course. We ordered two warm chocolate cakes with grand marnier ice cream. Well the ice cream was really good but the chocolate cake was dry and overcooked, the microwave did not cut it. The service was poor and they seemed overwhelmed. The waiter who took our order seemed annoyed taking our food order and answering the questions we had about the menu. Specially when we asked if we could get the sliders. Not only It took very long to get our food, but we felt not welcomed in the dining room with a 12 and 10 year old kids. As I said, definitely not kid friendly. After 2.5 hours of dining we were finally able to get out check; well, not until we asked 2 people for it. Other than the poor service, overrated and overpriced food the rest was great. The view is he best feature. Being that I am in the business I understand the importance of a good dining experience. Especially when your customer is visiting for the first time. Hopefully other guests have a better experience and continue to support X20, unfortunately this was it for us. Best of luck and Happy Holidays!"
