The Irish Inn at Glen Echo has plenty of history...from a family home in the 30's to a biker bar in 80's..The Inn at Glen Echo in the 90's...It's seen it all. This country Bar & Restaurant has a neighborhood feel, only a short distance from DC and Bethesda. Re-Opened in 2003 as The Irish Inn at Glen Echo offers great food, wine and atmosphere in a quaint setting. The upscale casual menu offers fresh seafood, hearty meats and the best Irish fare guaranteed. Whether you're in the mood for a delicious Lamb Chops or Steaks or a Traditional Shepherd's Pie....or a Jumbo Lump Crab Cake or our Daily Fresh Catch, The Irish Inn has it all. The Irish Inn combines a traditional Irish Pub with a white table cloth restaurant, complimentary valet and 6 private dining rooms, perfect for any occasion.

"If you need a quiet area for dining, the host will find you the perfect table away from the happy din, in one of the Inn's more private areas.
Always a treat to dine here, but especially for lunch when the generous basket of scones is a regulare part of the meal.

Directly across from the Verizon Center, Rosa Mexicano has been serving classic Mexican cuisine for over 20 years. Try the famous guacamole, prepared tableside, & sip a frozen pomegranate margarita while enjoying the festive, stylish and comfortable ambiance.

"Delicious guacamole modified graciously when I asked for the onions to be served separately. White wine sangria
is a lovely summer treat. Entrée portions are generous and delicious.

Whether it is a fine, hand cut USDA prime steak, fresh local seafood, one of our now famous bipartisan burgers, or just a quick bite in our bar before a show at the Verizon Center, Social Reform Kitchen and Bar provides a unique and energetic destination in Penn Quarter. A diverse menu features not only inspired modern American entrees. But small plates, salads and sandwiches in an elegant yet relaxed dining room. An imaginative menu theme using politically inspired names for many of the dishes plays on the bipartisan history of the restaurant. Our Private Caucus Rooms are for groups of 8-300. These rooms are perfect for any type of gathering.<br /> <br />

"The manager of Social Reform phoned me at 5pm, just prior to my 6pm reservation, to let me know that the restaurant
was closed for a private party. He said Open Table did not know. When I told him that my friend and I would have trouble
getting a reservation or a table at that late moment, before our theatre attendance, he said he would take care of us.
He did, seating us in another area of the restaurant and offering us an abbreviated, but quite adequate menu. He was most gracious when we arrived, and the service was excellent. We'll surely go again."

At Sonoma Restaurant and Wine Bar, our culinary mission is straightforward - use the best local ingredients as simply as possible. New American Cuisine places an emphasis on seasonal ingredients that are regionally available, and our menu changes frequently to reflect the Mid-Atlantic’s offerings. The first floor, a bustling, “upscale-casual” bistro and wine bar, offers superior moderately-priced cuisine by using the best local, organic, and naturally raised ingredients. The menu bears a southern European influence, and is comprised of four groups: cheese and charcuterie, handmade pasta and pizzas, wood-grilled meats and fish, and organic salads and produce. The second floor features a lounge and reserve wine bar along with a dining room for private events. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be taken by telephone or through OpenTable.<br />$20/bottle corkage fee (2 bottle maximum)<br />$3/person cake fee (including cupcakes)

"Sonoma is my place of choice for dinner before a Folger Theatre event. Because I attend the plays, the poetry presentations, and other lectures, I'm there quite a bit. Sonoma never disappoints. Can you imagine the friendliness. My companion and I get welcome hugs from our favorite waiter when we arrive."
