"We came here before the Opera and were planning on eating inside at a reserved table but the weather was great so we opted to eat outside and take advantage of the Happy Hour menu. The choices were varied. We shared the cheese board and each had an appetizer. The portions were good so didn't need to order any other appetizers. Was a great dining experience."

"This was recommended by a friend and it stood up to the high reviews. Sea Bass melted in my mouth, tender enough to eat with chopsticks. The short ribs were amazing. Every dish our table tried was fabulous! Next time in NYC will return!"

“Social Eatery & Bar offers unforgettable Italian-American comfort food in a unique indoor/outdoor setting with an exceptional style that is refined yet casual and invites spontaneity. Old World charm kisses New World sophistication. Eat. Drink. Socialize.”

OUR CONCEPT:

Social Eatery & Bar takes an inventive and original approach to traditional Italian-American comfort food that emphasizes the use of fresh-made and local ingredients.

For generations, Italian food has been amongst the most popular, if not the most popular, food in America. Today, those who dine at fine restaurants of every type continue to enjoy classic cuisine, and still demand creativity from the chef. Yet there is a new dynamic, an almost primal yearning for food that is healthy, fresh, local, delicious and fun.

Social Eatery & Bar hopes to combine our love for classic Italian comfort food with our desire for fresh and local ingredients.

"Ambience great although if you are seated near the bar it can be loud. Outdoor bar in back is awesome. Food was good, not great but we really like this restaurant cause it has a cool vibe. Will definitely return."

"I've been here for dinner but not for lunch. We were at the opera for a morning event so Roast was a convenient spot. I had the Greek salad with roasted chicken. The chicken was perfect. It's much quieter at lunch than dinner. Server was friendly and attentive."

"We were looking for a restaurant near Verizon Center for dinner. This place doesn't look like much from the outside but once you enter original brick walls and an urban decor with an active bar scene. We made a reservation so were seated immediately. Food and drinks delivered quickly."
