Chef and owner Frank Crispo opened Crispo Restaurant in the heart of Chelsea and the West Village in the summer of 2002.

Our 150 seats create a lively, warm and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy our signature Northern Italian cuisine.

We were nominated in 2002 for "Best New Restaurant" by Time Out magazine, and received an award for "Best Spaghetti Carbonara" by New York Magazine in 2004.

Food is not our only passion. Our extensive wine list covers the major regions of Italy and several other countries beyond. For enthusiasts, we have a full bar stocked with grappa, amaros, aperitifs and digestifs.

Come join us for dinner in our main dining room, or in our outdoor garden space. It remains open year long. With this newest addition to Crispo Restaurant you will truly feel like you are not in New York.

"I think we just forget how outstanding Crispos is. It is definitely under-appreciated. We've always throughly enjoyed our food choices and tonight was no exception. We joined old college friends and they were just as enthusiastic as we always are. We've never taken anyone to Crispos who has not fallen in love with the entire dining experience. Kudos to the great food, service and ambiance. Always a favorite!"

Striking décor and unique American eclectic menu come together to create a chic vibe in a comfortable eating, drinking and gathering destination. Located in the heart of Chelsea, it is the nightly go-to place for couples, singles, girls-night out, as well as weekend brunch. Thanks to its all-encompassing menu, captivating cocktails, and hip music, Pounds & Ounces is the liveliest scenes in the neighborhood highlighted by its centerpiece, a long alabaster and metal communal table that runs down the center of the space.
Groups large and small will enjoy Chef Jeff Kreisel’s homey favorites including Roasted Chicken with a potato-cauliflower purée and rainbow Swiss chard; Pan Roasted Halibut, or Pan Seared Scallops. Lighter fare includes a Housemade Mozzarella & Tomato Salad with heirloom tomatoes and basil pesto garnished with red onion marmalade; Grilled Kale Caesar salad with trevisano, white anchovies, and garlic croutons; and a sweet and savory Watermelon Salad.
"We were very surprised by the tastiness of the food. Our calamari appetizer was followed by the seared scallops and braised short ribs and all our choices were delicious. A very energetic eating experience. Very good value for very good food with excellent service. It's on our return list. Thank you for a very enjoyable dinner. It's on our list to return."

Opened in 1980, La Ripaille is one of the oldest restaurants in West Village. Some of the regulars have been coming for as long as 25 years. We want everyone to feel welcome here, whether it’s the celebrities who frequent, the children for whom we provide games & crayons, or the people who live in the Village. The owner, Alain Laurent, is integral in the day-to-day processes of La Ripaille. He daily scours the market for the freshest produce, often choosing the day’s specials based on his finds. This keeps the specials seasonal & unique. He decorates the ever changing wine list with the best wines available. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a terrace for the summer & a fireplace in the back for the winter. The candlelit tables light up French posters and paintings & fresh flowers decorate each table. For a taste of history and delicious French cuisine, visit La Ripaille. We have a seat just for you.

"Our first time to this neighborhood gem and "charming" would sum up the entire evening. The wait staff was extraordinarily attentive and extremely helpful in guiding us on our dinner and wine selection. The food was absolutely delicious and the wine completed the meal. It was great hearing the neighboring tables all describe their meals as "delicious" as well. When we heard La Ripaille was listed as a top ten romantic restaurant in the city, we just had to give it a try. Absolutely true. Glad we made the reservations."
