When diners enter this stylish restaurant in the heart of Boston’s Back Bay – steps away from the South End & Theater District – they are immediately enveloped in earth tones, rich dark wood and the airiness of high ceilings reverberating with the energy and excitement of the space. The lively bar area is a popular gathering spot offering a selection of cocktails, sake, wine and beer. Guests look on as the team of chefs create cutting-edge sushi dishes, or they settle into an experience of award-winning cuisine in the main dining area. From the knowledgeable and attentive waitstaff to charismatic owner Jack Huang’s pleasure at meeting diners, expect the comfort of being warmly welcomed at Douzo. Like the atmosphere, Douzo’s healthy and fresh cuisine seamlessly combines warm tradition and modern innovation of Japanese classics. Douzo offers inventive dishes that make the restaurant both a neighborhood fixture and a critically acclaimed destination, signature items.

East Boston's newest hot spot to "Gather, Dine and Relax." With an impressive list of Wines, Special Martini’s, and Cocktails created exclusively to excite the palate. Ecco’s tempting array of Desserts, Cappuccino and Espresso can be harmonized with a selection from our extensive list of Cordial’s, Dessert or Port Wines. An added attraction to Ecco is plenty of on-site parking, making your experience with us enjoyable from beginning to end.

"First time here. Attractive interior with excellent parking, a rarity in Eastie. Surprised that fish of the day was tilapia not a regional choice.
Waitress Sarah was pleasant, but not very experienced. And certainly not the role model typically found in the north end.
The salads were excellent and large enough to share. Salmon dish was also enjoyed fully. My rigatoni had a great sauce, but the pasta was not hot. I'm guessing was cooked earlier. Inexcusable when restaurant not busy.
I'd suggest that they serve the pastas in two portion sizes; both were larger than neded.
