Theger's Reviews

Chef and owner Frank Crispo opened Crispo Restaurant in the heart of Chelsea and the West Village in the summer of 2002.

Our 150 seats create a lively, warm and friendly atmosphere where you can enjoy our signature Northern Italian cuisine.

We were nominated in 2002 for "Best New Restaurant" by Time Out magazine, and received an award for "Best Spaghetti Carbonara" by New York Magazine in 2004.

Food is not our only passion. Our extensive wine list covers the major regions of Italy and several other countries beyond. For enthusiasts, we have a full bar stocked with grappa, amaros, aperitifs and digestifs.

Come join us for dinner in our main dining room, or in our outdoor garden space. It remains open year long. With this newest addition to Crispo Restaurant you will truly feel like you are not in New York.

"Since the reopening, appears not much has changed. Food great, service excellent, and atmosphere you can't beat. We have never had a bad meal at the Water Club, and return over and over without disappointment."

Comfortable, authentic & easy - this all day dining venue offers familiar & beautifully crafted dishes with an Italian accent. The dining room has three primary components - main dining room, terrace dining & open kitchen. Serves classic Western styled breakfast buffet with significant Italian influence, transforms into a Grill inspired by a classic Italian trattoria & winding down as a sophisticated Italian dining venue at dinner.

"Upon arrival, we were asked either to sit inside or outside. We chose inside, after about 2 min. we had decided that the room was noisy and felt like a cafeteria, so we chose to go outside, which was so much nicer. We were not impressed with the food, I had the Pasta with Brocolli Rabe and sausage, no taste, very bland, didn't like the sausage. My friend ordered the Cappellini with white clam sauce, First of all, Cappellini is the not pasta you make with clam sauce, very dry and no taste. We were expecting way more, being the Ritz Carlton. We will not return, unfortunately."
