"The food was only fair. Too bad it isn't better since the restaurant has a wonderful location with great outdoor dining."

"This is a gem on Balboa Island. Everything about it whispers taste, attention to detail, wonderful seating with a great view, and fabulous food (I would say shouts, but it would destroy the ambiance). It is the go-to place for a wonderful night out or Sunday brunch in the Newport Beach-Laguna Beach area. I highly recommend it."

"A great place to eat before a Kennedy Center event. They provide parking for dinner and the event at a very reasonable price. The food was wonderful and we had a great waiter. A true local gem."

LINCOLN is an expression of artistic collaborations in gastronomy, mixology and design.
Savor our seasonal American small plate menu crafted from fresh ingredients supplied by local & regional farms. LINCOLN pays tribute to one of our greatest US Presidents, with nods to many of his favorite foods including oysters, gingerbread and chicken pot pie.
If you’re thirsty for cocktails that are truly one-of-a-kind, our barkeeps, have created one of the city’s freshest bar programs highlighted by mason jars featuring infused bourbons and DC's first moonshine-list served in antique-style copper cups. In warm weather months enjoy our patio offering panoramic views of DC’s urban landscape.
Original paintings and a distinctive interior design by homegrown pop artist, Maggie O’Neill make LINCOLN a feast for the senses at Lunch, happy hour, dinner, brunch or after dark.
"This was the first time for dinner--I had gone to lunch last week. The food was very good and having the tasting portions made it easy to order. My biggest complaint was the noise level. I know that's what younger people like, but both hearing our friends and even hearing the server was very difficult and makes for a tedious evening. Otherwise, it is a very nice experience."

La Chaumiere is as close as it gets to dining in a French country inn. Now entering its 37th year, La Chaumiere features traditional dishes like escargots en coquille, boudin blanc, quenelles of pike, cassoulet and Grand Marnier souffle. Chef Patrick's specials reflect a modern approach to seasonal produce, seafood and game with favorites like baked oysters, Dover sole and rabbit. La Chaumiere has won the "100 Best Restaurants" award 29 times since 1978!

Don't be fooled by the crowds and the noise; they are all part of the scene here at Laguna Beach's sexy and intense 230 Forest Avenue. The lean deep room seduces you to the open kitchen, bustling bar, and concrete floors, creating a space that is part modern bistro, part martini bar, and part art gallery. It's the perfect spot to see and be seen, laid back Laguna-style. Executive Chef Marc Cohen is consistently recognized as one of The OC's top chefs. You'll be ready to award him a medal, too, after tasting his flashy-to-the-eye, tickle-the-taste buds fusion appetizers and entrees. His dishes are often so stunning that they compete with the artwork on the walls, making for a thoroughly satisfying "artistic" experience.

"It's a little too crowded--the woman next to me practically had her coat in my lap. The food is always very good and the service very attentive. It's a popular eating venue which I think adds to the congestion. It would be nicer if it were a little more spacious."

"A great looking restaurant. Unfortunately, not all of the food matches the ambiance. Our friends ordered a fish which they thought was one cost for a two-person entree. The price turned out to be for each diner and very little portions to accompany that cost. It was very disappointing. The appetizers were very good, but the entrees were disappointing."

"This was our second visit, but turned out to be one of the best meals we've ever had. This is now our favorite restaurant ever. The food is wonderful, the ambiance lovely by the inlet, the flowers, the pillows on the seats, wonderful service--all made for a delightful evening. It is not on a main street but so worth the trip. I would recommend it to everyone in the area, but I'm afraid then I couldn't get in! The only, very small, drawback was the lighting which needs some tweaking--the light over our table kept dimming and raising. But this is so small it's not really worth mentioning."

Lavandou Restaurant
Lavandou Restaurant
For almost twenty years Lavandou has remained a charming French restaurant in Washington D.C.’s Cleveland Park neighborhood. Tucked in amongst unique storefronts on Connecticut Avenue, Lavandou's cozy glow and relaxed atmosphere lures its guests inside where they can enjoy fine southern French cuisine.

The cuisine at Lavandou is based on the essence and smells of Provence. This region along the French Riviera is famous for its rustic roots and uses only the most natural ingredients. Many of our dishes are created with tomatoes, roasted red peppers, eggplants and olives and are seasoned with fragrant garlic, rosemary, thyme and basil. These flavorful traditional dishes, prepared at length and with healthy, fresh ingredients are truly reflective of the Mediterranean style of “savior vivre.”

In the heart of Cleveland Park, Lavandou is conveniently located across from the Uptown Theater and close to the Cleveland Park (red line) metro stop.
