Homemade pasta is the specialty at this Long Grove Italian restaurant housed in a former Victorian-style home on the border of Arlington Heights. Begin your delicious authtentic Italian meal with bruschetta, grilled calamari or prosciutto with melon. You will enjoy the best authentic Italian food in Chicago's Northwest Suburbs.

A daily risotto, fresh fish served whole and veal chops are among the hearty selections. Potato gnocchi is a popular dish. Homemade desserts include cannoli and tiramisu.

The candlelit main dining room in our Italian Restaurante, located upstairs, is painted green and burgundy. Wood paneling, a fireplace, French windows and well-spaced tables make for an intimate atmosphere. The view of a fountain and flower garden spells romance. A kitchen table provides a glimpse behind the scenes.

Limited outside summer seating is available.

"There were 4 in our party. We were greeted promptly and the host was very friendly. We were seated immediately at our reservation time. The tables are very close together and it was hard not to disturb the people at the next tables when sitting down. Hard to get comfortable during the whole dinner. Our server was friendly and attentive most of the meal, but disappeared at times. Food was very good. Very noisy. Because of crowded tables and noise, would not go back."

Set in a modern yet cozy ambiance and featuring a contemporary menu steeped in the flavors of the season, Rox City Grill provides you the true downtown experience. The goal is to offer guests an exceptional yet affordable dining option in an unassuming atmosphere for the everyday diner while being sophisticated enough to deliver unforgettable moments on special occasions. Chef de Cusine David Hassan, a veteran of kitchens such as Hotel Nikko and The Four Seasons, crafts an exceptional menu that incorporates vivid, pristine flavors. Fresh ingredients and precise cooking technique create a seamless interplay of flavors and textures. Steaks, chops and seafood are highlighted along with wonderful salads and decadent desserts. In the dining room, friendly, professional servers introduce you to a impecable wine list. Chef Hassan pursues the making of a modern urban eatery. Come be the judge of the results!

"We have passed by here numerous times and finally stopped for dinner. The menu is somewhat small and the prices are generally north of $25.00. We tried one of the specials that night, Braised pork tenderloin served over butternut squash tortellini. Our server saved the last two dinners available that night for us (although it was only about 6:30), and we were so glad that she ran into the kitchen to save them for us. They were exceptional, and one of the best dinners we have had in a long time. Our server, Shawna, was superb, friendly, and explained every dish we asked about perfectly. The atmosphere is quiet and well decorated. We will definitely be back for more."

"We dine here frequently and have never had a bad experience. We were a little concerned when they changed to the "Supper Club" idea from the conventional restaurant, but this has worked out well. They have different specials every month, and every one is wonderful. We were just here for the $9.95 full slab of rib dinner and it was outstanding as usual. Our servers are always friendly and attentive, and pleasant. Go here for dinner...you will not be disappointed."
