Welcome to The New Public House and Hotel located in historic Downtown Blowing Rock. Our food is Southern inspired entrees and small plates, complimented by an impressive selection of local ales, fine wines and seasonal cocktails. Pork Loin Chop, Beef Tenderloin, Shrimp & Grits, Mountain Trout, and Oyster Stew highlight the menu. Light items include seasonal sandwiches, soups, and salads as well as Dirty South Wings, Okra Fritters, and Green Chile Mac & Cheese.

>> Also serving Breakfast 7 days a week featuring Eggs Benedict, Omelette du Jour, Pancakes, and more classic breakfast offerings.

"I knew the restaurant that was here prior, and I love what they have done with the space, it is open, beautiful, and a great place for a couples night out or a simple girls night. Our table had the house salad with chicken, another with filet, and a burger with pimento. Everyone enjoyed their food. They made a simple salad into a gourmet meal. Worth it. After all that lettuce, dessert was needed! We had the cheesecake, pound cake and torte. All great but I favored the cheesecake which is a big deal for this chocolate lover. Overall, I'd go again. I saw my neighbors with the filet mignon dinner, will try that next!"

Ellendale's is a family owned and operated restaurant serving Contemporary American Cuisine. We offer a express lunch buffet tues- sat 11-3. We also have the best Sunday Brunch in Nashville 10-3! Happy hour daily 3-6! Our menu offers creative, hand crafted dishes featuring fresh produce harvested from our own garden, presented with Southern Charm in our own Historic Farmhouse.

"The location is not an area I usually go, but we were feeling adventurous. The outside is nice, you can see the garden where they grow their own herbs and some vegetables. Inside however is underwhelming and in need of some work. I was impressed by the house-made items on the menu. Our table had eggplant parm which was beautifully presented and tasted lovely. The filet mignon was cooked to our specifications and the mashed potatoes almost stole the show! The cheesecake with caramel sauce was also worth the calories and the portion was enough for 4 girls! Overall, I would return for the food, but maybe at night when the live music is there."
