Michel Richard's modern American brasserie,and winner of the 2008 James Beard award for best new restaurant is located on Penn. Ave NW between the White House and the Capitol. We serve Michel's tribute to great American cuisine, both modern and classic, with a French accent. A vibrant bar scene with boutique beer and wines, and modern and classic cocktails.

Blue Duck Tavern, a contemporary neighborhood restaurant, invites its guests to gather and celebrate in good taste with a menu focusing on the freshest ingredients available from local purveyors and artisans. The menu notes every farm where the main ingredient for the dish was raised before its journey to the table. Dishes are genuine, time-honored and traditional -- slow roasting in wood embers, braising, preserving and smoking techniques bring the true flavors of America's great, simple and wholesome foods to the Blue Duck Tavern. <br /><br />The restaurant has an elegant residential feel through the open staff pantry and kitchen, wood-burning oven and the showpiece Molteni range.<br /><br />*Please note that for diners bringing in wine, a $35 corkage fee (per 750 ml bottle of wine), with a limit of two bottles, will be charged.

Situated in the heart of the upscale Chevy Chase shopping district, the decor of this two-level restaurant celebrates the golden age of travel with steamships, planes, and the famed Orient Express rail line. Chef Derrick Jackson uses flavorful, fresh ingredients to prepare American-style cuisine in the Travel Rooms on the main level, or in the casual atmosphere of the downstairs Race Bar and Dining Room. Bar on main level, and a new outside bar and dining area.

Blue Water Grill, a Zagat favorite year over year, is a seafood and sushi dining destination in the heart of Union Square. Loyal guests and visitors alike are drawn to the former Metropolitan Bank space with chandeliers that illuminate the bi-level dining room, a café perfect for people-watching and a lower level lounge and dining room with live music 7 nights a week. The menu highlights the freshest seafood daily, with innovative offerings at the Sushi Bar and composed dishes coming out of the kitchen. Blue Water Grill is also known for Sunday Brunch overlooking the Union Square Greenmarket.

Cellini’s culinary style of chic simplicity produces a menu of astounding freshness and creativity. We began with a masterful rendition of cornmeal polenta wedges with masses of slivered shitake mushrooms and a calamari salad garnished with beans and scallions, each set off with a hot, homemade foccacia, augmented with sliced crusty Tuscan bread. We next chose panzotti-supple half moon pasta filled with fresh, crisp vegetables lightly bathed in a delicate porcini mushroom sauce. A unique tubular pasta stuffed with the freshest fish and spinach under a seasoned fish stock was enough to show us that each dish here has its own personality, and is densely concentrated with flavor.

The décor in our three distinct dining rooms is a blend of sophisticated elegance and soothing comfort. Ventuno is an island restaurant inspired by the frascas of Italy, small farmhouses which opened themselves up to friends and neighbors with wine and homemade food.<br />Executive Chefs Gabriel Frasca and Amanda Lydon, with Chef De Cuisine Andrea Solimeo, delight in imagining Nantucket shellfish, fish and produce in Italian hands. Oran Mor Bistro is located up a flight of copper stairs in an historic Nantucket home. The restaurant has an intimate bar and three dining rooms with attractive earth-toned decor that are a warm prelude to delicious, beautifully prepared food. The bar radiates warmth of the past with its wide plank flooring, pen and ink bar top and gaff-rigged wine glass racks. Oran Mor features handcrafted cocktails from the freshest ingredients, house infusions and specialty spirits. The wine list predominantly features wines from France, small American producers as well as a travelogue of wines from around the world.<br />Oran Mor Bistro is owned by Chef Chris Freeman and his wife Heather. The evolving and innovative menu is derived from the changing seasons and their bountiful offerings. Showcasing native seafood, fresh local produce and naturally raised meats from select farms.

Meet Neyla, the Mediterranean spirit of prosperity, abundance, and success. The restaurant that celebrates her is a treat for the senses and social graces. Both elegant and comfortable, Neyla is inspired by Romanesque Mediterranean villas, and influenced by the myriad peoples who settled in that wondrous part of the world. Neyla is a delightful mix of exotic cultures, inspired in the homes, hearths and taverns of the rugged land known first as Phoenicia, then the Ottoman Empire, and later the Republic of Lebanon. From nomadic Arab tribes, Ottoman Turks, Egyptians, Greek and French rulers, Neyla's food melds the best of all the Mediterranean cultures. Vegetables, salads, grilled meats and fish are set off by light, and subtly spiced sauces. Coriander, cinnamon, basil, thyme, Turkish pastries, coffee with cardamom and of course the renowned Lebanese mezzas tell the tongue a story of four thousand years of culinary history.

Established in 1986, Ristorante Piccolo is a romantic and unique Italian trattoria with walls of sun-blessed amber hues, full of the warm-hearted wines and food that match the spirit of Italy, loved by Washingtonians and visitors alike!
