Sauce is Frank Prisinzano's fourth neighborhood restaurant in lower Manhattan. Sauce's nose-to-tail red sauce trattoria approach fuses culinary tradition & innovation with the freshest local ingredients.

"we arrive and are greeted by a very unwelcoming, standoff-ish hostess. We actually didnt get seated until 30 minutes after our reservation time (and when I checked back with the hostess, she acted as if she couldn't be bothered 'I'll seat you in a minute'). That would have been fine if they were super busy, but when we were taken upstairs, we saw that only half the tables were filled.
Despite the rough start, the food was actually pretty decent. I had the tuna tartare and lamb osso bucco (both very good), and my husband had the clams (so-so) and the chicken scarpariello (above average). Raspberry cheesecake and chocolate flourless cake were also tasty. Service from the waiter and manager (?) were good. ."

The restaurant has been totally transformed, sporting a dramatic two story high central dining area surrounded overhead on two sides buy a dining mezzanine overlooking the main dining area and on a third by a private dining room softened behind shaded glass. A dramatic bar of stainless steel set against a backdrop of exposed stone runs the length of the room and leads the eye to the real focus of the place: the imposing steel surround of the woodburning beehive oven. Rustic wood ceilings and exposed stone walls set against high energy glass and steel combine the old and new at Bar Rosso, setting the tone, reflecting the soul of the restaurant. Featuring glorious Italian cheeses and charcuterie, small plate specialties, mix and match bites off a large antipasto menu, wood oven thin crust pizza, homemade pasta and Italian inspired entrees, Bar Rosso is intended as a tour of the Italian culinary scene complemented by a full Italian wine list and cocktails inspired by the authenticity.

One of America’s most beloved restaurants, Gramercy Tavern has welcomed guests for close to two decades to enjoy seasonal American cuisine, warm hospitality and unparalleled service. The restaurant is perennially ranked at the top of Zagat Survey’s ‘Most Popular’ list, and has garnered eight James Beard Awards including ‘Outstanding Restaurant’ and ‘Best Chef: NYC’. Chef Michael Anthony’s highly seasonal menu consists of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase the restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors.

The Main Dining Room serves prix-fixe menus starting at $92 for dinner and an a la carte menu for lunch, and accepts reservations 28 days in advance.

The more casual Tavern serves an a la carte menu centered around the wood burning grill, and welcomes guests on a walk-in basis. The restaurant also features an acclaimed wine list, and thoughtfully selected beer and cocktail offerings.

The raw talent, experience, and passion of two young people is the foundation for South End, a neighborhood restaurant and gathering place in the charming town of New Canaan. Chef/Owner Nick Martschenko and General Manager Michelle Cooper bring seasonal comfort food and inspired libations together with an atmosphere that is casual, familiar, and befitting of a small urbane town.

The design combines the old with the new. Rustic hardware elements are set against reclaimed barn wood paneling, and light fixtures are antique in design, while utilizing a more contemporary flare. Beige Italian linen drapes are complimented by contrasting black tufted linen upholstered banquette seating. Oversized color prints of a misty countryside and farm animals are a nod to Chef’s sustainable food practices.
Cask Republic having opened in December of 2013 artfully fuses the familiarity of an American-style tavern with the authenticity of European taverns of yesteryear. A Communal Tavern, the concept is simple; exceptional food globally inspired, a world class beer program, extensive spirits and wines – all housed in an atmosphere befitting that of a sophisticated urban respite.

Don't miss sitting near one of the two cozy fireplaces located in the Tap Room and Fireside Room.

Chef Carl Carrion has designed a menu which elevates global tavern classics to a new level through his seasonal preparation of quality ingredients.
"We came here for dinner on a Friday night. The place was absolutely packed and the noise level was very, very loud, but the decor and energy were great. Service was incredibly slow and we felt somewhat ignored for most of the night (We got food without getting place settings). However the food was pretty good. We really liked the wings and pesto Mac and cheese. We also ordered the burger and plain pizza which were both decent. Overall the place has potential...we might return after they've worked out the kinks"
