Jeffrey and Sallie Buben's Woodward Table, housed in the historic Woodward Building is a concept that exudes a timeless feel with neighborhood charm. Located just one block from The White House, Woodward presents a "table" of dining possibilities with two eateries...the main restaurant with its creative and diverse American menu and Woodward Takeout Food, a sprite artisanal alternative for breakfast and lunch. The soul of Woodward Table's cooking involves creating seasonal iconic American dishes, a chef's contemporary approach and a regional repertoire of ingredients. Woodward Takeout Food, aka WTF, adjacent to the restaurant, creates a quick serve American breakfast or lunch for the busy Washingtonian, available to eat in or take out. Woodward Takeout Food is like being in a good cook's kitchen...a venue of sights and sounds with the bakery of the entire restaurant located at one end. Smell the fresh baked bread and other concoctions as you place your ord

"Had the appetizer sized kale salad with shrimp for lunch and it was very hearty. The service was friendly and sensitive to the time limitations my party had. It had been a while since I'd had lunch here, and I will now re-add it to my list of faves in the area."

In a comfortable setting, just across the street from the historic Uptown Theater in Cleveland Park, Ripple offers a complete dining experience, with a focus on sustainability, organic and locally-acquired produce, and a good time. We are proud to support local farmers and co-ops in our mission to bring only the best products to the table.
Our award winning wine list features 50 wines by the glass and bottles starting at $25, with over 70 wines under $50. In addition, we have extensive beer and cocktail menus, to complete any meal.
Above all, we believe in hospitality and hope that everyone who dines with us will feel comfortable and enjoy their time with us. We truly are a place to eat, drink, and gather.

"This is the second time we've eaten at Ripple in the past 2 months, and it did not disappoint. The menu was mostly new, which is nice, since so many DC restaurants wait way too long to change their menus. The food was delicious and while it is pricey, it was worth it. My only complaint is that the service was a little too fast, as if they were trying to usher us out quickly."

Stephen Starr brings his signature brand of hospitality and design to the nation’s capital with the opening of Le Diplomate, located at 14th & Q. Serving lunch, brunch and dinner, the stylish 260 seat restaurant transports diners to the beloved cafés of Boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris. The extensive menu features a variety of classic dishes including Onion Soup Gratinee, Steak Frites, and Poulet Roti as well as contemporary bistro fare, with dishes such as Shaved Veal Tongue with Mache and Bavette de Boeuf à l’Echalote. A thoughtfully curated wine list and cocktail program perfectly complements the cuisine and creates an environment suitable for romantic dinners or lively group gatherings. In warmer weather, enjoy dining "en plein air" in the stunning outdoor café where you can take in the bustling energy of DC while sipping on the perfect kir royale.

"I take great reviews of DC restaurants with a grain of salt - but Le Diplomate lives up to them. The food was excellent and so was the service - very rare in this town. And the space is beautiful and reminds one of a Paris cafe. My spouse, who goes to Paris 2-3 times a year, said "This is just like Paris, but with better service." Lebby was our server, and he was just outstanding - attentive without being cloying, timely and just plain nice. When I remarked to the hostess on our way out that she had forgotten that I had told her it was my and my spouse's birthdays, Chad came out and offered us a treat when we return the next time, which we will. Le Diplomate is pricey, for sure, but it was worth it."
