In a comfortable setting, just across the street from the historic Uptown Theater in Cleveland Park, Ripple offers a complete dining experience, with a focus on sustainability, organic and locally-acquired produce, and a good time. We are proud to support local farmers and co-ops in our mission to bring only the best products to the table.
Our award winning wine list features 50 wines by the glass and bottles starting at $25, with over 70 wines under $50. In addition, we have extensive beer and cocktail menus, to complete any meal.
Above all, we believe in hospitality and hope that everyone who dines with us will feel comfortable and enjoy their time with us. We truly are a place to eat, drink, and gather.

"The last time my spouse and I ate at Ripple was when it first opened maybe 5 or 6 years ago. The food was good, but very expensive, and we were underwhelmed. But with a new chef, we figured we'd try again. We didn't have much - we came in around 9:30 after a movie at the Uptown, but what we had was excellent. The place is still pricey - $15 for a glass of rose champagne? Really? And some wine glasses were $20! Two appetizers, two drinks and a shared dessert cost $70. But we'll come again and have entrees, even if this won't become a regular place for us because of the cost."

"I really like the Hamilton's food, and the location is great for me. But the server I had seemed overwhelmed. First, she gave the iced tea my guest ordered to someone else, failed to bring the sweetener, took 30 minutes to bring out our main courses (a pastrami sandwich and a bento box), and then disappeared without getting my guest soy sauce. The last time I went here (about a month ago), the service was too fast. This time it was much too slow. When I have to constantly look for the server to get me what I need, something is wrong."

"I've now been to MXDC about 4 times over the past 7 months, and it is still solid. But the menu needs some freshening. My other concern is that the service was too fast. My friend and I got our food five minutes after we ordered."

The Sushi Ko food philosophy is Cuisine of Subtraction. According to Creative Director Daisuke Utagawa, subtraction allows chefs to reveal the essence of each ingredient in it's most honest yet refined state. By subtly combining other ingredients, a taste sensation is created that demonstrates the complexity and beauty of nature for the eye and the palate.

"I'd eaten at Sushi-Ko in Glover Park several times but was underwhelmed both by the food and particularly the ambience. This Sushi-Ko is very nicely appointed and the sushi was very fresh. There were also a bunch of cool daily selections. It wasn't cheap, but I would return for sure. I'd have to say Sushi-Ko ranks as perhaps the best sushi I've had in DC (though to be fair, it isn't a great sushi town)."
