As soon as you walk through the doors of The Grill on the Alley in Chicago, you are transported to another time and place reminiscent of the great American grills of yesteryear. The unique decor has an elegant feel with its polished hard wood floors, leather banquettes, and white linen tablecloths. A virtual art gallery adorns the walls of our many dining rooms while the sounds of Ella Fitzgerald linger in the background as white-jacketed waiters attend to your every need. <br /><br><br><br />Since opening in June 2000, this high-end steak and seafood house has made its mark on Chicago with locals, and tourists alike. The Grill has become one of the most popular places to gather for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and all types of special occasions. Located on the floor level of the Westin Hotel, The Grill on the Alley is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chicago with easy access to the McCormick Place Convention Center, shops, museums and theaters.

The Pump Room restaurant offers reasonably priced, delicious favorites in a relaxed, comfortable, and exciting environment. The new food concept was created by Three Star Michelin rated and 2011 James Beard award winner Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Original Pump Room menu classics were reinvented and recreated by Jean-Georges providing his special touch and amazing style. He will support local purveyors and regional flavors.Offerings in the bar include small plates as well as local and international draught and bottled beer;and specialty cocktails crafted by Jean-Georges, and great music. <br />

"I love the pump room but recently they have gone a little soft. The endive salad was a bit sloppy looking. The chicken was good but nothing to write home about. Where were the mashed potatoes as listed on the menu? The bar is beautiful but the Martinis were served half full. C'mon. $15? At least fill it up."

Workshop Kitchen + Bar is Palm Spring's newest gem in the heart of the Uptown Design District. <br />Located in the Class 1 Historic El Paseo building from 1926, Workshop’s Industrial chic interior gives the historic space a contemporary edge befitting the locale.<br /><br />Our kitchen is based around seasonal products from local farms, so the menu changes often. Although "Americana" may best describe the style of our food, influences are many. Favorite techniques in the kitchen include our wood-fired pizza oven, wood-fired grill, and custom sous-vide station. <br />The bar looks mostly to American classics and carefully homemade basics. "Stopped in for a quick lunch. Ok service and food. We needed a booth. There were plenty but it was a challenge to finally get one. I never like that the hostess has to please the servers before the guests."

At Society Cafe at Encore, rising star chef Jeremy Pacheco's reimagined comfort fare adds elegance and decadence to classic American dishes. The accomplished chef has a deft touch with crafting crowd-pleasing dishes that bring new flavor to traditional favorites: for breakfast there are steak and egg 'sliders' and tempting 'XL' sticky buns. At lunch, filet mignon sliders share the bill of fare with Society fish and chips and a luxurious lobster roll. At dinner, the cafe's signature peppercorn rubbed rib eye and addictive mac n'cheese bites turn the comfort volume way up. The cafe's fanciful decor combines grandeur and whimsy - a place where black crocodile chairs and vivid lime green accents meet comfy fuchsia-tufted settees. Overlooking the busy casino floor, Society imbues the casual cafe experience with personality, life and great people watching. Reservations accepted for dinner only.

"we had a very ice dinner at Harvest. Food was fresh and excellent. Service was kind of slow but they picked it up after we had a few rounds of cocktails that were slow to,arrive. The harvest martini was interesting and worth a try."
