"Byrsa is steadily becoming one of our real Chester County favorites. Wonderful eclectic Mediterranean-based menu, great food and friendly service. Branzino and the cassoulet we had the other evening were outstanding. Keeps getting better!"

"We don't dine in Media often, but that is about to change. Our meal at La Belle Epoque was very good, starting with some of the best mussels that I have ever eaten. I can see why they have won awards. I didn't waste a drop of the delicious broth, which was better than most soups. Our entrees, salmon in parchment and duck in a lovely raspberry sauce, were a treat to the palate. We finished with a light mixed berry crepe which left us thinking that we might try some of the many entree crepes on the menu. French restaurants are scarce in the 'burbs, so we were thrilled to find this gem. Parking was a bit of a challenge on a Friday night, but there is a lot nearby if you can't find a street spot. We will definitely be returning."

Catherine"s Restaurant is a charming BYOB nestled in the heart of Chester County's horse country. An upscale casual destination restaurant, located in the historic (c. 1851) Unionville General Store, Catherine's is 'dining at it's BEST.' (Philadelphia Inquirer) Chef Kevin McMunn's "Wild Mushroom & Lump Crab Soup is EXQUISITE." - Craig Laban. Catherine's is one of the Delaware Valley's top BYOB's and has earned many accolades over the past decade. They are rated EXCELLENT by Zagat. Chef Kevin McMunn and his partner & wife Marybeth Brown are an exceptional team that pay homage to Brown's grandmother, Catherine, with their warm and welcoming hospitality and unbelievably delicious food! The gorgeous dining room is lit entirely by candles - over 125 - which adds to the special touch of mini flashlights which come with every menu. Catherine's has recently added Lunch and weekend Brunch to their dining hours. The Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are the perfect way to end the weekend!

"We returned to Catherine's after a 2 month vacation and found it as good as always. Wonderful mushroom soup, great goat cheese salad, tasty Chinese 5 spice pork chop that was a treat to the palate, and tender beef short ribs. Add in a piece of key lime pie and fine service and it made for a lovely meal. Can't wait until the patio opens."

"The hidden gem in the jewel…" Enter through wrought iron gates into a European courtyard and discover the charming world that is Finch's Bistro & Wine Bar. The owners of Finch's have created a serene, intimate space where guests can escape life's hustle and bustle and relax, drink great wine, enjoy live music, and eat some of the best food around at moderate prices - an upscale dining experience at casual dining prices. This is evident from the moment you are graciously seated at your table with crisp linens, water carafes with fresh lemons as stoppers, and black and white finch salt and pepper birds. It is these quirky touches and attention to detail that is the guiding spirit behind this popular cozy, romantic and friendly La Jolla hotspot.

"Terrific newer informal spot in La Jolla. 4 off us dined here on Saturday evening and thought it was great. Eclectic menu with lots of choices, including small plates. Everything was delicious. Service was prompt and friendly and a guitarist with a bosso nova vibe added to the evening. Only quibble is that space is a bit tight in the outside area, but it did not detract from the experience. We will be back!"

"What a great dinner we had at Catalan in Rancho Mirage! Pleasant surroundings including a nice patio, friendly service, and great food at reasonable prices. My wife had a tasty selection of tapas, while I enjoyed an excellent paella, chock full of seafood and sausage. We don't get to this area on a regular basis, but when we are back, we will return to Catalan. We found out about Catalan through Open Table, one of the prime reasons we use their service!"

"Azul is always very good. This time, however, my NY strip steak, although prepared properly, was gristly, beyond the band of fat that is normal. My wife's meal was great, so I won't quibble, but I was somewhat disappointed. Fine service, as usual."

Dobson's Bar and Restaurant is a hidden treasure in the heart of Downtown San Diego/Gaslamp Quarter. For the last 28 years, this has been the hot spot for business lunches and frequented by many local and nationwide celebrities. Paul Dobson, the namesake for Dobson's bar and restaurant, is one of America's few professional Bullfighters. The food is California cuisine with a touch of Italian, French, Spanish and Asian cuisine. One thing that both local San Diegans and Zagat can agree on is that this is one of the top restaurants in San Diego. Due to the limited seating and popularity, reservations are highly recommended. Owner Paul Dobson "works a room better than Sinatra", which explains why this "local tradition" downtown remains, "after all these years", a "high-powered, hobnob spot"; the Cal kitchen "serves up delicious, innovative food, along with old standbys" ("have the mussel bisque and think of heaven").

"It's hard to beat Dobsons fro pre-opera or concert dining in San Diego. The food is quite good, the service professional and quick, and Paul Dobson is a delightful host. Oh, and did I mention that the mussels bisque en croute is about the best that can be had anywhere in the country? On this Friday, there was also a bunch of people at the bar obviously getting an early start on Paddy's Day having a lot of fun."

Baci Ristorante offers diners a hint of old world Italian charm, with plush booths, white tablecloths, and gracious servers clad in tuxedos. While the decor is subtly modern, the menu is classic, celebrating Northern and Southern Italian cuisine. Specialties include classic pasta dishes, veal, and fresh seafood, with especially tempting daily specials offered by Executive Chef Domenico Alioto. In addition to the cuisine, the restaurant's charming and welcoming features--include an extensive wine list, elegant patio setting, and romantic main dining room--have made Baci a consistent favorite among locals for over 30 years.

"We always enjoy Baci during our winter visits to San Diego, and our meal this time was no exception. The food is outstanding and the service is professional and friendly. We both had veal, Marsala-style for my wife, and a chop for me. Both were about as good as they could be. I started with one of the best Caesar salads I've ever had, complete with anchovies! Complimentary limoncello finished off an outstanding meal."
