Our menu of Mexican small plates is inspired by the market culture of Mexico. Comida de calle - street food is integral to the social fabric and cultural rhythms of Mexico.
Isalita is 100% Pure Mexico: generosity, hospitality, and enjoyment of life. We take great care to authentically showcase the culinary traditions of Mexico, with our own unique style of flavors.

RESERVATIONS
We take advance reservations for parties of 6 or more. Please note that not all of our large tables are displayed online.

Boss Shepherd’s is Penn Quarter’s hottest farm-to-table restaurant, where guests can enjoy a fresh approach to traditional American cuisine. Named after DC’s original governor, who was often referred to as the Father of Modern Washington, Boss Shepherd was one of the most powerful city bosses in his day and was responsible for creating DC’s infrastructure, ultimately convincing Congress to continue to operate in the District of Columbia. A statue of Boss Shepherd reigns half a block away, in front of the John A. Wilson Building.

Instilled with Chef Jeremy Waybright’s southern inspiration, the menu boasts fresh takes on time-honored, rustic classics that can please the palate of any guest. Chef Waybright’s use of farm-to-table ingredients is evident in innovative starters such as the Maine blue mussels with sausage, cider beer, vermouth and pickled chili, or delectable bone marrow served with herbs, pickled egg, breakfast radish and toast.

St. Arnold’s boast a comfortable, welcoming authentic Belgian experience reminiscent of a classic European tavern found in the alleys of Brussels.
We carry 20 types of mussels paired with more than 40 types of authentic Belgian Draught beer, 20 select Belgian bottles, and a refined list of wine and traditional Belgian cocktails.
St. Arnold’s Mussel Bar works closely with local purveyors and suppliers to ensure our ingredients are the highest quality and freshest available. While we have an emphasis on the traditional Belgian treat of mussels and frites, our full menu features classics for every customer.

A must is the mussels cooked in duck fat.
