Rustico is the quintessential neighborhood pub on the edge of Old Town Alexandria. The menu features seasonal, hearty American fare from a wood-fired oven and grill, including pizzas and rotisserie meats, along with other rustic cuisine using the freshest local ingredients available. There’s also no mistaking Rustico’s love for barley & hops! The bar’s focal point is a custom galvanized inverted T bar with 30 brilliant taps book-ended by two massive coolers holding more than 400 different types of ales, lagers, ciders and stouts.

"Ordered the pork chop & went with chef's medium-rare recommendation. It actually was closer to rare so sent it back to finish cooking. The beer selection is impressive though."

"Great concept, but the execution left a lot to be desired. Diners are greeted with a deafening roar as you enter the restaurant through the extremely loud bar. The waitress explained that the menu consisted of tapas, medium, & large plates, but at no time did she indicate the meals would be delivered in that order. My wife had a tapas, a salad (medium plate), & I had a large plate. Each was delivered at different times. A smart wait staff would have asked "Would you like those delivered at the same time?" Ours didn't & this detracted from the night out as my wife sat across the table & looked at me over her beet salad, waiting for my lamb shank to be delivered. Get it right Teddy."

"First visit to Bastille & the experience guarantees that we'll be back again. This North Old Town Alexandria location is unmatched for its uniqueness. Wife had the scallops & me the duck breast. Both were prepared flawlessly & perfectly matched with the wine recommended by our waitress. It was a beautiful evening so we opted for the patio dining but the interior of Bastille is also quite beautiful. They have a great happy hour deal at the bar during the week which will bring us back during non-Restaurant Week times. Give Bastille a try!"
