"I often will dine at La Sandia when I am in town visiting my Vienna office. It is convenient since it is in the mall. There is a great selection of Mexican food and bar drinks. I love their empanada appetizer. They were having mole specials which were very good. I typically get the beef and chicken enchilada. During my latest visit I had the pleasure of having Nathaly as my server. She was a friendly young lady and she really blew me away with her poise and attention to service. She checked in regularly but was not intrusive. Nathaly did an excellent job. I also appreciated how attentive the new Manager, Juan Avila, was to the patrons. I saw him walking around and checking in on quality and service and thought he was very nice."

"This is the third time I have dined at Merlo. Every time the service has been bad but this time it was especially bad. I have gone back because the choices on the menu are vast, with some of my favorite Italian choices and the food has been consistently good. I can deal with slow service in general. However this time we had a party of 5 and both the starters and entrees came out in waves with large gaps. One person got their salad with the other three items coming many minutes later. Four of us got our entrees while the fifth came many minutes later. The party of five next to us was served faster even though they came later. The waiter rarely checked on whether we wanted more to drink. If you have time and patience the food is good."

"This is a bustling location and a very nice setting. The choices on the menu were unique and vast. I had the lobster bisque and then the Moroccan chicken which was excellent. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful. We were in a tight table for two next to a column so it could have been more comfortable. We were there on a Friday night at 8:15pm and the service was just ok. Nothing major but it took a while to get our drinks, the soup was served without a spoon so it took a while to get someone to bring one. The coffee came way after dessert."
