Tasca Brava has been described as "the little gem" and was placed on the list for the Top Ten Restaurants in the Triangle by the local press. This is because Tasca Brava is a careful blend of everything that is good about Spanish style, cuisine and hospitality, that go together to create a unique authentic relaxed atmosphere, where the visitor chooses to eat or drink as the mood takes them.. Tasca Brava is above all about Tapas, those small individual portions that offer a very flexible and sociable way of dining and most people dine when they visit Tasca Brava. You can eat as much or as little as you like at any time of day, allowing people to suit their own appetites.

"The chef-owner-server knows his food and his sources and brought this knowledge and enthusiasm directly to our table. The enthusiasm can sometimes seem like a hard sell but we loved the food and appreciated the suggestions for a combination of tapas to share five ways."

Right in the heart of downtown Raleigh, Bida Manda is a thoughtful and sharp gathering place celebrating the diverse food and culture of Laos. Bida Manda is one of the very first Laotian restaurants in the US. Sanskrit for father and mother, we name the restaurant Bida Manda as our way of honoring our parents in Laos who taught us everything we know about food, hospitality, and the power it has in bringing people together.

Our parents' recipes are the inspiration for our menu. Every dish on our menu is exactly what we grew up eating. They are the kind of dishes you might find on the street corners of Luang Prabang and at a Laotian home.

Come in and go away with us on sensational culinary journey to Laos.

------

Whether it is a birthday dinner for 10 guests or a corporate event for 100+, we will work with you to craft your memorable dining experience. Please contact Vansana Nolintha at vansana@bidamanda.com for more information.
"We wanted to try everything on the menu. Not possible, of course, so my husband and I shared four appetizers, which were all tasty and well presented."

"We had an extended family dinner here during the holidays: 3 grown siblings and spouses. The food was good (not great, but good), and the service was very accommodating. The historic building and decor were interesting and comfortable, with holiday decorations."

In April 1999, Restaurant Nora became America's first certified organic restaurant. This means that 95% or more of everything that you eat at the restaurant has been produced by certified organic growers and farmers all who share in Nora's commitment to sustainable agriculture. Nora always offers seasonal, fresh organic food, prepared in a healthy, balanced way and enjoys a "big following" of environmentalists and politicians, who can eat here with a clear conscience, knowing that what's on their plate hasn't polluted the environment, is healthy for them, and tastes good too. Nora offers a special chef's tasting menu, which is perfectly accompanied by a spectacular choice of wines from our award winning wine list, featuring over 100 exceptional wines from small wine producers.
"We had an excellent meal with attentive and helpful service in this always pleasant restaurant. It's expensive, but we deserved the treat."
