"The food at Dosa is always wonderful. Because we went in early and emphasized the hard of hearing 50% of our party of 4, they seated us, as we had requested, in a corner, which was adequate as far as noise was concerned. Generaly, it's a very noisy place, but the food is unbeatable. We all had the summer tasting menu - way too much food. Took home last untouched course and enjoyed a good dinner next night."

Jardiniere, opened in 1997, is housed in a beautiful landmark building in San Francisco's chic Hayes Valley neighborhood. Highlights of the elegant setting include a gorgeous bar and stunning staircase. The highly refined and sensual food of Chef/Owner Traci Des Jardins is a celebration of Northern California's best seasonal bounty prepared with classic French technique. The J Lounge features a full list of specialty cocktails and wines, and offers a variety of creative lounge food and small plates. Its proximity to the theaters makes it an excellent place to dine before or after a show.

"Jardiniere was outstanding. It had been very many years since we were there and this was a special occasion. Each morsel was very tasty and the wine we ordered was extraordinary. The restaurant is very expensive for very small servings, but wonderful for a special occasion. We thoroughly enjoyed it."

"Pleasant place to meet for lunch. A little too noisy, however. Food very healthful, fresh and just enough variety."

Dobbs Ferry Restaurant is an all day and everyday establishment; for locals, by locals; with a welcoming beckon to all of the visitors of this Little City. It is an ambassador of West coast food and East coast style with an "old world" feel, that is uniquely and unequivocally San Francisco. <br />

"We went before an event at Davies. We were very pleased to be seated in the corner and did not find the noise offensive, which was very unusual for SF dining. The food was excellent - unexpectedly so. We enjoyed our experience at Dobbs Ferry and will definitely return. The portions were very generous and the chocolate cake dessert was divine."

"We've eaten dinner at Anzu before, but never brunch/lunch. We found it to be delicious, great selection, and very quiet - one of very few places we could think of. And very convenient to ACT. Will definitely go again."

Prized by culinary cognoscenti for its good French food at bargain prices. Le Charm evokes a traditional bistro feel, with muted ocher walls and a copper-topped bar. The tented out door patio let you enjoy the patio space at any season.

"The dinner was outstanding. We hadn't been to Le Charm for several years, and it was at a higher level than we remembered. We took friends who are very fussy, and they loved the choice. Our only complaint was that the restaurant became very noisy. We were there at 5:30 which was quite acceptable, but by the time we left, the noise level was pretty high."
