Prized by culinary cognoscenti for its good French food at bargain prices. Le Charm evokes a traditional bistro feel, with muted ocher walls and a copper-topped bar. The tented out door patio let you enjoy the patio space at any season.

"The dinner was outstanding. We hadn't been to Le Charm for several years, and it was at a higher level than we remembered. We took friends who are very fussy, and they loved the choice. Our only complaint was that the restaurant became very noisy. We were there at 5:30 which was quite acceptable, but by the time we left, the noise level was pretty high."

Singapore for almost 200 years has been at the crossroads of Southeast Asia, where many cultures and nationalities live, work and more importantly, eat together. Singapore's cuisines logically reflect this cultural diversity. The four major culinary cultures -- Malaysian/Indonesian, Chinese, Indian and Nonya -- are in fact a blend of each other, creating a new cuisine that is unique and more complex in flavors and fragrances. Straits Restaurant offers a menu that features the complexity of all these Singaporean cuisines in chef Chris Yeo's unique interpretation.

"We were so happy to find a "happy hour" at Straits before the MetLive movie on Wednesday. We enjoyed sitting at the "Big Table", enjoyed the $5 appetizers (we ordered 6 plates for 4 people) and the reduced price beer and wines. Would definitely repeat in the future!"

Le Central is a neighborhood bistro located in San Francisco's bustling Financial District. A favorite of locals and visitors since it opened over three decades ago in 1974, Le Central's iconic red tabac sign has become a familiar fixture of Bush Street. Housed in a brick building, the restaurant's warm interior offers guests an authentic brasserie atmosphere. Handwritten chalk Plat du Jour menus, cozy booth seating and fresh flowers greet customers on every visit. Le Central serves traditional French cuisine such as Steak Frites, Onion Soup Gratinée, Rack of Lamb Persillé and our cassoulet which has been cooking for over 12,000 days. Le Central is owned by brothers Johnny and Paul Tanphanich who bring over four decades of French cooking to the restaurant.

"My husband used to have his office right near Le Central and ate there often. We enjoyed meeting friends there. It is nice to see a restaurant survive fr 40 years. The food was good, not outstanding. We were seated at a table where we could hear. Our friends report their steak and blood sausage were very good. My husband ordered his favorite: cassoulet."

"We have been to Caffe Delle Stella regularly before an event in Civic Center. The food is consistently good and enough variety that all are happy. Wine is also good and the glasses are not overpriced, which is rare. We were seated at a table where we could hear and we appreciate that. We'll definitely return."

Verbena brings a distinct culinary and beverage experience to the Russian Hill neighborhood of San Francisco. Executive Chef Sean Baker, also of Gather Restaurant in Berkeley, incorporates a balance of artisanal vegetable dishes and whole animal butchery. The inspiration for the menu draws from deep working relationships with farmers and ranchers who are extremely passionate about their craft. The bar sets the stage in the restaurant and features an innovative beverage program highlighting carefully crafted small batch spirits and wines.

"We loved the food. Very creative, tasty, and labor intensive (good to have the food out instead of trying to reproduce at home). I'd heard the place was very noisy, but getting in at 5:30 and out by 6:30 on a weeknight, the noise level was quite acceptable, even for one hard hearing member of our party of two!"

"Excellent food. Good environment for a non-rushed lunch. A little hard to find, but motivated to do so. Would recommend to others looking for a place with good seafood, a nice outlook, easy parking, and pleasant environment."

The Tavern at Lark Creek represents the next chapter in the life of the historic, circa 1888 Victorian Murphy House; a Larkspur landmark. Designed to appeal to diners looking for value, fun and great ambiance, The Tavern at Lark Creek seeks to capture the more casual feel diners look for today. High-backed cherry chairs and period oak tables surround a grand Carrera marble-topped table beneath a giant skylight, providing lots of great seating options for parties both large and small in the main dining room. Oak tables fill the cozy bar, which offers artisanal cocktails and wines from our proprietary tap system. The wood oven has been renewed, along with the garden. A dramatic lighted display case in the entryway welcomes diners. Chef Aaron Wright and Culinary Director Adrian Hoffman’s menu focuses on value, while remaining true to farm-to-table sensibilities.

"Enjoyed our return to the Tavern on Lark Creek very much. It had been about 4-5 years. Foo is vastly better and more in keeping with the reputation of old. Only complaint was the noise. Very hrs to hear across table of 4."

Café Bistro is a stylish, yet comfortable restaurant featuring a contemporary American interpretation of classic bistro cuisine. Located on the 7th floor of the San Francisco Shopping Centre, it offers an exciting view of the downtown Market district.

Cafe Bistro food is visually powerful, bold in flavor and unique to the marketplace. The menu of flavorful appetizers, colorful salads, brick oven entrees and boldly flavored sandwiches are complimented by a well-chosen selection of hand-crafted cocktails and local California wines. A suggested finish to the meal would be the signature warm White Chocolate Bread Pudding or chocolate drizzled Profiteroles.

"Left Bank Larkspur is always a reliable restaurant . We have gone to Left Bank many times for lunch with our daughter who lives in Marin and we always enjoy meeting there. Selection on menu is good, food is fresh, and prices are within reason.."
