"We enjoy everything!! Started with Chilled Edamame & Thai Chicken appetizers which were both delicious. We shared Short Ribs (great flavors) & Pork Ribs (were so tender they fell off the bone). The coconut grits were a highlight of the meal. The steamed buns were very light & good too. For dessert we had cinnamon donuts with berries which were served With a side of ice cream. The cocktails are very unique & tasty but a bit on the small side for the price. We are looking forward to returning & bringing friends."

"We started with the queso fondito & the special guacamole with pumpkin seeds & pork rinds ~ both were very good & filling. We shared two different types of beef tacos which were both very tender & flavorful. Then for dessert we had the churro with carmel dipping sauce which tasted amazing. The cocktails choices are very different and very good. The service was perfect. We will be back."

"Went with a friend for appetizers & we shared a bottle of wine. We both enjoyed all three appetizers ~ shrimp wrapped in bacon, chicken lettuce wraps & a goat cheese flat bread. The bottle of wine was very good too."

From the kitchen to the bar, everything we serve is defined by a passion for exploring unique flavor combinations. Wood is more than a name: our wood-fired oven is at the heart of it all, mustering a dynamic menu of small-plate, American fare, made with the best ingredients the season has to offer. Though the dishes regularly change, they are defined by a few constants: meat is butchered in-house from humanely-raised animals; vegetables are drawn from family farms like Green Acres (North Judson, IN), Three Sisters (Kankakee, IL), and Spence Farm (Fairbury, IL); herbs are picked directly from Wood’s private garden; and all pasta and sausage are freshly made, straight from the Wood kitchen to the plate. We bring the same attention to quality and taste to Backwoods, our late-night Belgian fry pick-up window. Made from hand-cut Kennebec potatoes, twice-fried in the traditional Belgian style, and served with your choice of a dozen different house-made sauces, these aren’t your average f

"We were very happy with our night out at Wood. Katie waited on us & she was fantastic ~ she was attentive without being intrusive at all. We decided to try four of the small plates (a sausage/cheese flat bread, scallops, a pasta dish & the barrata cheese). All were delicious, unique & flavorful. For dessert we shared the apple cake with fennel which was good. We are looking forward to bringing friends or family to Wood in the near future."

"Orland Park has the best beer selection of all the Rockbottom locations (good wine too). The new sausage plate was fantastic (served with 3 types of sausage), the salads are good & the crab/artichoke appetizers is one of our favorites. Our waiter this visit was exceptional."

"Very good food (small plates), tap wine & cocktails. The food is always very good but it is a little TOO pricey. Good flat bread pizza (mushroom), Sloppy Joseph's very good, scallops were delicious. Save room for dessert as the chocolate shooters & turtle cheesecakes (4) were delicious."

The California-influenced, American restaurant features a wood-fire grill as its centerpiece and will dish out an ever-changing menu that spotlights locally-sourced produce & ingredients whenever possible. In addition to simply prepared proteins and a large selection of market vegetables, Summer House also boasts Chef Mahin’s signature artisanal bread program, an extensive wine list, fresh-squeezed juices and a wide array of pastry & sweets. Seeking to make diners feel at-home, the restaurant has been designed to evoke the atmosphere of a summer beach house with whitewashed woods, warm tones and a large glass ceiling positioned directly over the dining room that brings the outside in no matter what the season. An open kitchen outfitted in earth-toned tiling and a five-foot, wood-fire grill that emulates a home hearth further fosters the comfortable atmosphere.

Now open for Lunch on Thursdays and Fridays from 11am-4pm and Saturdays & Sundays for our weekend Brunch 8am-3pm!

"The specialty cocktails are fantastic. It is a casual place where you feel like you are sitting in an outdoor patio due to the glass ceiling. You have an option to order small plates (which we did) or individual meals. Each small plate we tried was delicious especially the calamari. If you don't have room for dessert, you can pick out a cookie from the treat case to take with you. The coffee from Dark Matter was delicious. Service was attentive & they have valet parking."

"Four of us had drinks, appetizers & dinner. Two of us enjoyed our meals while two of us did not. The steak & a seafood pasta dish were good. The filet medallions & scallops were both way to salty. The service was good. Very crowed restaurant & bar. We were unable to have a drink in the bar afterwards due to there being no place to sit or stand, so we went someplace else. I wanted to try one of the spatklong wines after dinner but couldn't."
