"There were four in our party for dinner (bottles of wine are half price on Sundays). The rolls are served hot out of the oven & are very good. We each ordered a different seafood dish & we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. The food portions are generous & flavored well. Our waitress was very attentive without being intrusive. Save room for dessert because they are fantastic & big enough to share. The location is perfect for a after dinner walk to the Water Tower or the Mag Mile."

The Santoro Family has been in the food service industry since 1988 through Frankie’s Beef & Pasta in Oak Lawn and Frankie’s Catering and are now excited to introduce Frankie’s Ristorante. From our robust Tuscan style Pork Chops to our homemade ricotta dumplings in a divine light tomato basil sauce to our decadent imported Italian desserts, we strive for perfection in our kitchen and have raised the bar high for our service standards. Our customers are guests in the Santoro Family’s home and our purpose is not only to make them feel wined and dined but also pampered. Our chef - born, raised and schooled in his homeland of Italy and with experience in some of the most renowned fine dining establishments in the US and Europe, has found his passion in life in cooking and has brought this passion to each one of his dishes. He maintains a consistent authenticity which has won us rave reviews in the local news media as well as a following among our guests.

"The food & service always very good. The Decor is nice inside & they have a gorgeous patio set up outside. They have a nice wine list. The food is always delicious but we noticed that the portions are rather small for the price. We will return though."

"This is such a great place! They have a beautiful outdoor patio, a nice bar area (great wine selection), wonderful decor, nightly specials, good food selections & perfect service. We went early on a Friday evening & after a few minutes the place was full. For dinner I had the egg batter jumbo shrimp (a special) served with potatoes and a vegetable. My husband had a pasta dish. We both really enjoyed our meals. I am looking forward to going back to try the Salmon dish. This is a fantastic neighborhood gem!"

Bavette’s is a European-Style steakhouse. The signature is a prime ribeye that is dry-aged in house. There is also a wide variety of fresh seafood, including a daily selection of fresh oysters, king crab, and shrimp cocktail. Bavette’s also specializes in classic cocktails with a focus of brown spirits. The value driven wine list is eclectic and global.

Reservations made through Open Table will be for Bavette's main dining room. The largest party size that the restaurant can accommodate are groups of six. Currently, we do not offer any private dining.

"We had drinks in the bar prior to our dinner reservation. The mixed drinks are fantastic. We shared the flavorful wedge salad with the amazing thick cut bacon. We each had steaks (petite filet & bone in strip steak) then we shared the loaded baked potato & ice cream for dessert. My filet was delicious but my husbands steak had a piece of connective tissue & he was unable to cut through the center of his steak. We told the waitress then the manager came over & offered to replaced his strip steak with a better one. He did enjoy the second steak. We will return for dinner in the future."

This River North restaurant is well known for outstanding steaks, seafood, pasta, an extensive wine list & an excellent lunch menu. Kinzie Chophouse is a very popular place for business lunches, pre-theater diners, conventioneers & neighborhood regulars.

Four spacious rooms, including a bar, are outfitted with attractive & comfortable banquettes. Susan Frasca of Frasca Hospitality Group who purchased the restaurant in late 1998 has made some exciting changes to the menu, & received the Wine Spectator "Award Of Excellence" 10+ years in a row.

Private dining rooms are available - contact 312-329-9826 for more information.

"We tried the seasonal menu which was a nice salad choice of dressing, filet medallions & rock shrimp with a choice of dessert. The filet medallions were cooked perfectly, were tender & a good size portion. The rock shrimp were served hot & flavorful. The desserts here are the best. We eat here often & have always had delicious food, a great wine selection & good service. We are looking forward to returning."

Epic brings three levels of dining excellence to Chicago’s River North neighborhood, offering a modern American menu. An industrial chic décor serves as the dramatic backdrop to signature dishes such as Braised Short Ribs, Seared Duck Breast and an extensive hor d'oeurve menu. An eclectic wine list and extensive cocktail selections, welcome guests to Epic’s first floor lounge; a voluminous space with exposed brick and intimate seating. A dynamic glass and steel staircase winds its way up to the second floor, revealing an elegant dining room. The energy, sights, and sounds of the room continue up to Epic Sky, a rooftop destination showcasing skyline views and an eye-catching crowd. Day or night, Epic Sky provides a sophisticated rooftop experience with the option of luxurious seclusion in one of the private cabanas.

"We were there on an evening that was windy & cold so unfortunately the rooftop bar was closed. We were seated on the second floor. The service & the drink selection were both very good. We started with the prawns for an appetizer (good portion size). I ordered the hanger steak which was delicious & flavorful but could have used more sauce. The steak knife was dull & it was hard to cut the meat (which was very tender). My husband had the duck 3 ways which was good but also needed more sauce & was slightly over cooked. The ice cream (3 mini scoops) was delicious."

"Three of us went for dinner. We had 3 small plates ~ homemade guacamole & chips (a little bland), seared scallops (delicious) & fondito (very good). We then shared a big plate ~ the special beef short rib with cornbread & apple slaw (a decent potion size of beef & very flavorful, the cornbread was good but dry & very little apple slaw served but it was delicious). We ordered a side of plantains which were good. The mixed drink Black & Stormy (ginger beer & rum) was fantastic but it took a long time for drinks to come. We drank water throughout the meal while waiting for our second round of drinks. The prices are not bad for the potion size."
