Wendy's Reviews

A smart and stylish restaurant and bar. Coup D'etat is ideal for groups large and small, it offers a private dining room and throughout the restaurant there are lounge areas, tables, and booths for smaller groups. The food is approachable, modern, and contemporary. The cocktail program is equally smart with reinterpretations of classic drinks as well as new creations.

This is a favorite Saint Paul dining destination since 1975. The Restaurant is housed in the turn-of-the-century Dacotah Building which lies in the heart of the historic Cathedral Hill District. W. A. Frost has incomparable ambiance and rare old world character. It boasts several grand wood-burning fireplaces, a charming old bar and the European-style garden patio and garden bar and lounge. The new American cuisine at W. A. Frost is derived from an eclectic mix of ingredients meticulously sourced, with a very strong emphasis on local small farmers that use organic and sustainable practices. Minnesota's best wine list, best outdoor dining in the Twin Cities and the most romantic restaurant are just a few awards received.

In Italy, every meal is a journey… the same is true at Pazzaluna. Start with appetizers featuring a selection of bruschetta and pizza straight from our wood-burning oven; then move on to a traditional Italian dinner menu of antipasto or insalata (salad), to primi piatto (pasta course), to secondi piatto (main course), and finally a delicious dolce (dessert). Discover the truly Italian art of lingering over dinner with family and friends, making conversation, and enjoying wine in a setting that is both urban and relaxing.

The award-winning and critically acclaimed Bar at Pazzaluna Urban Italian is an energetic and fun place to meet after work, before an event at the Ordway, Xcel Energy Center, Roy Wilkins Auditorium or just to unwind with family, friends, clients or business associates.

During warm weather, relax on the patio and enjoy the sights and sounds of downtown Saint Paul (patio open May through September). See for yourself, you'll be glad you did.

PUBLIC kitchen+bar is located in the historic Noyes & Cutler Building, overlooking Mears Park in historic Lowertown, St. Paul. Casual sophistication in the dining room combined with the preservation of the original historic character of the space provide a comfortably setting to enjoy PUBLIC’s contemporary, American cuisine, focusing on seasonality and house made ingredients. Enjoy hand-crafted cocktails, great wines, and craft beers from our bar on the main level over-looking the open kitchen.

Alternatively, the lower level features a 1920’s prohibition era lounge available for pre-or post-dinner drinks, classic cocktails or a separate menu of small plates available until 2 AM. The small plate menu in the lower level consists of fourteen items meant to be shared. The lounge level is also available for private events accommodating up to 175 guests.

PUBLIC looks forward to welcoming you!
"Public is a fun spot in Mears Park. The food is good and wait staff was friendly, but slow. The restaurant has a lot of energy and was very noisy by the time we left at 7:45 on a Saturday night. My husband and I are vegetarian and although we found nice choices to share, there weren't many options. If they could add a few more vegetarian options, we would love that. I was also a bit disappointed that the only bread option was the jalapeño biscuits for $6.00. They were tasty, but I missed having some kind of bread basket."

Forepaugh’s Restaurant is located in a beautiful Victorian mansion in the lovely Irvine Park area of Downtown St. Paul; a stones throw from Excel Energy Center and the Ordway Center for the Performing Arts. The building itself is a gorgeous, multi-functional (read: wifi), state of the art venue disguised as a charming, quaint and thoroughly authentic Victorian mansion. The seven intimate and artfully decorated dining rooms straddle the past and future gracefully, featuring both period décor and brilliantly conceived, cutting edge New American Cuisine. The wine list is expansive and supported by a wine cellar/chef tasting room that is available for small, intimate gatherings. The bar, comfortable and cozy, --featuring the finest in distinctive liquors and specialty drinks. And the service is excellent. Join us for a big night or a cozy romantic dinner. Business groups, rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions and parties of any shape or size are encouraged.
