Soba Nippon is located on Fifth Avenue in the center of Manhattan, right by Rockefeller Center, the Theater District, and many shopping destinations. We serve homemade Soba (buckwheat noodles) and Tofu (soybean curd) using buckwheat and soybean harvested on our very own farm in Canada. We were the first restaurant to serve the real Teuchi (hand-made) soba in New York City and we created the original Soba Salad, which has now become one of the most popular Japanese dishes in the world. There are many health advantages in eating Soba, since it is low in calories and rich in nutrients. A single serving of Soba contains only 132 calories and offers lots of protein, vitamins B1, B2, E, and leuthin. In addition to Soba we serve many varieties of Kobachi (Japanese tapas) accompanied with our excellent selection of sake and wine. Soba Nippon was featured in the Emmy Nominated television series, Sex in the City, and has been highly praised by Eric Asimov of the New York Times.
