"Still one of the greats. Perfect fresh salad and scallop crudo - to remind that spring is not that far away. Staff and service was terrific"

Jean-Georges Vongerichten brings his unbridled passion for market-fresh, simple cooking to The Mark Hotel, renovated and reopened in early 2010. The world-class & expansive menu features over 70 dishes of subtly innovative European classics blended with Jean-Georges’ signature global seasonings. The wine collection, showcased in a stunning copper and glass wall in the dining room, includes a range of both boutique and familiar food-friendly wines from around the world. The comfortably elegant dining room provides a warm and relaxed setting, fitting for both a neighborhood favorite and a connoisseur’s destination.

"We had often had lunch at The Mark but this was our first dinner experience. We had requested seating in the atrium (which is quieter and beautifully appointed), and after some confusion were accommodated very politely (!) by staff. After perusing a wonderfully eclectic menu over kir royales we were served perfectly prepared kale salad with lemon and parm; a peeky toe crab, and crunch green salad that set the stage for beautifully cooked cod, salmon and beef tenderloin with sides. Terrific St Estephe, Chappelet chard by the glass topped off by butterscotch pudding dessert. Much better experience than recent visit to Jean Georges' Nougatine on west side. A terrific (if a tad pricey) neighborhood restaurant. On leaving passed through a happening bar scene."
