"this restaurant is usually noisy and packed, so I was a bit surprised that last saturday it was not busy (oh, the joys of the city when everyone leaves for the weekend!). Since the weather was cooler, we were able to sit outside and had a pleasant, if somewhat unmemorable, meal. I had the pasta bolognese, my friend has the pasta special - both nice dishes, but non-spectacular (confession - I eat at Lupa often, so my pasta standards have been elevated)"

Santa Fe has been an Upper West-side staple for over 25 years. Featuring Southwestern Classics, Contemporary Mexican Cuisine and the best Margaritas in town, we strive to provide every one of our guests with a comfortable, delicious and friendly dining experience.

"because summer days in central park just call out for margaritas, we dined at santa fe for the second time in a week. the food is always good and consistent, this time it went beyond. the salmon special with pipian sauce was as good as anything served at coyote cafe (one of new mexico's uber-standards of southwestern cuisine)"

There is a neighborhood feel to this friendly Upper East Side Restaurant. Old fashion cuisine, exceptional wine list and warm attentive service. Bottega Restaurant serves fresh, flavorful upscale Italian dishes prepared from the finest ingredients. If you have a special occasion to celebrate, or a business meeting, our menu offers more to choose from. We look forward to sharing our passion for good food and warm service and welcome you as our guests.

"We used to eat at bottega once or twice a month when it opened. Our last couple of meals were disappointing, so we hadn't dined there since the winter. As we like to support our local places, we decided to give it another try. Clearly a mistake. My special squid ink pasta was bland and soggy, and with flavorless fish. It's as if they don't season the food at all. The swordfish was ok, and the avocado salad was nicely dressed. Shocked that my salad fork was returned to the table for reuse ( I had left it on my plate)."

"We eat at Jean Claude frequently, but I am always surprised by how good the food is. The bouillabase special is excellent, as is the tilapia special!"

"we decided that Saturday was the perfect summer evening to sip margaritas at the bar of Santa Fe. I tried the blood orange, which was nice and tart (not gooey and sweet as flavored margaritas tend to be). The crab cakes and steak fajitas were delicious too!"

Le Colonial is a truly delightful culinary experience. Like stepping into French Colonial Southeast Asia, this two-story restaurant, designed by Greg Jordan, consists of a main dining room with louvered wall panels, colorful tile floors, and vintage photos of Vietnam. Upstairs is an elegant, but lively, lounge serving a full dinner or just appetizers and cocktails. The lounge serves as an ideal setting for private parties and business dinners. Chef Ronald Wingwee Hsu serves an authentic Vietnamese menu with an emphasis on fresh seafood, meats, and vegetables.

"I hadn't been back to Le Colonial for a while, and I' so glad we returned. The food is very good, and of high quality. We loved the monkfish and eggplant appetizers, and the 5 spice duck. The wines are a bit pricey, but the charming captain had an excellent recommendation which we thoroughly enjoyed"

The memorable Northern Italian Cuisine makes this Upper East Side restaurant special. The Spaghetti Lobster is the classic signature dish of this Mediterranean treasure. The Wine Spectator awarded extensive and serious wine menu is carefully selected by owner Enrico Proietti. Very often a private wine tasting is happening at the corner table <br />making the wine list more notable every season. The one of a kind brick oven offers a variety of dishes, exceptional pizza and foccacina rabbiola that is hard to find in this city. For something sweeter-the deserts are impressive! The atmosphere is charming in this power playing neighborhood.

"We love to come here for an early weekend dinner (if you don't come early, the noise level is intense), and particularly like to sit at the bar with the charming bartender. The food is consistently good - we had the swordfish and veal specials this time, and a lovely bottle of super-tuscan. The bar also draws a convivial group of people."

"We love this place - it is tiny, and warm and comforting. The food is always great - this time, we had the individual pizzas - thin crusted and delicious and a lovely bottle of Malbec. Our server was funny and sweet, but also most efficient."
