When it first opened in 2009, Prepkitchen La Jolla was the first in what would become a string of casual, farm-to-table style restaurants from the minds behind Whisknladle restaurant in La Jolla. Inspired by cooks for cooks, Prepkitchen serves artisanal, farm-to-table cuisine at an everyday-eats price at all three of its locations - La Jolla, Del Mar & in San Diego’s historic Little Italy. <br /><br />Guests will enjoy a casual, intimate dining experience whether seated inside Prepkitchen’s quaint dining room or outside under a covered, candlelit patio. Prepkitchen serves lunch and dinner daily, as well as breakfast and brunch menus on the weekend, which includes happy hour priced mimosas and $1 coffee.<br />

An ongoing commitment to innovative cuisine using only the freshest local produce makes NINE-TEN a must visit for culinary aficionados. This intimate restaurant, led by chef Jason Knibb and pastry chef Rachel King, offers the perfect combination of sophistication and casual elegance and an ideal location along La Jolla’s Prospect Street. Enjoy the best of the harvest from local artisan farmers, where produce is selected daily for the restaurant’s Evolving California Cuisine. The bounty of the sea is also featured with local fish selections and items arriving daily from Hawaii and the North Pacific and Atlantic regions. Special prix fixe menus are available and feature matching wines from the extensive wine cellar. Enjoy dining indoors or on the sidewalk patio or ocean-view terrace. A tradition to many La Jollans, this Italian bistro serves fresh authentic regional Italian cuisine. A landmark Ficus tree takes up one corner of their very popular patio, but the bright and cheerful dining room is delightful during the day or on those chilly evenings when it’s too cold to sit outside. The menu is presented in an innovative and creative fashion offering a wide variety of pastas, pizza and grilled items. In addition, you may find many vegetarian and health conscious dishes. Brunch is served on Saturday and Sunday and includes specialties such as Uovo Benedetto (Eggs Benefits served on grilled polenta with basil hollandaise) along with omelets and breakfast pizzas.
