IL Cortile has been family owned and run since 1975. A neighborhood staple for almost 35 years the Esposito family continues the tradition of sparing nothing to provide only the highest quality ingredients in all Cortile dishes. We are a full Service Restaurant Establishment offering both A-La-Carte dinning and a wide variety of pre-fix menu"s for group gatherings as well as off premise catering.

"There are many restaurants up and down Mulberry Street but they are not all created equal. Resist the urge to wander into the first restaurant that looks good and steer yourself to Il Cortile where the food is out of this world. There is a lovely dining patio out front, but if you wish a quieter setting, ask to be seated in the garden atrium. Full of character and quiet. Service is outstanding....ice water and a big bread basket appear instantly and the menu is printed on a gold-sealed folded paper. We were a party of four and each dish was excellent. The veal dishes were creatively prepared and were the best we had ever eaten. Interesting wine selection and an array of yummy deserts. This is the place to eat if you love good food."

Le Rivage offers you a cozy, romantic French country atmosphere where traditional French cuisine is expertly prepared for your pleasure. Fresh flowers embellish each table. Prices are delightfully affordable with incredibly rewarding selections; a true bargain in the heart of the theatre district.

"The beauty of this restaurant is the fixed price menu for theater goers. Appetizer, main meal, dessert and coffee all for $39. The selection is extensive and daily specials are included as well. The night we dined, coq au vin was one of the daily specials and it was delicious. Dessert included such choices as creme brulee and creme caramel. Well organized hostess and excellent quick service to accommodate various theater goers. Very comfortable seating in a relaxed setting. An additional bonus was a glass of house merlot that was in a super large glass and made my evening!"

Amarone’s homey indoor-outdoor trattoria on the edge of the theater district on 9th Avenue between 47th and 48th offers amazing eats that reflect the owners’ Italian background. Amarone stands out as one of New York’s best values in Hell’s Kitchen and surpasses even the highest expectations. Amarone has taken the expression “make your customers feel at home” to the next level. Sometimes it is hard to leave.

"The interior of this restaurant was cozy with brick walls and great decorations. The service was excellent and a basket of fresh bread was immediately brought to the table. The fettucini portofino was loaded with fresh shrimp and scallops in a tomato based sauce. Absolutely delicious. The pear salad with peccorino cheese was wonderful as was the linguine putanesca. All the food is freshly prepared and arrives piping hot at the table. There are no negatives about this restaurant just a lot of atmosphere and great Italian food."

"Clyde's is the kind of restaurant where you can grab a quick sandwich, an interesting main dish salad or a complete meal. The food is always delicious. Hot fresh bread accompanies the main dishes and ice water is automatically served. The dining room is wood-paneled, warm and inviting with large comfortable booths. Service is always excellent. The seasonal menus are wonderful as they highlight all the best produce available. Prices are very reasonable for such great variety and wonderfully prepared food. This is my neighborhood go-to eatery."

"Because of Clyde's ever-changing seasonal menu, there is always something new and delicious to try. And try sampling on a Monday night when the wine is half price! Gives us a break on the bill and makes us keep coming back. Their ribs are succulent and still lots of delicious fresh fish during these summer months. Service is always very good."

"The food at Zaytinya is always wonderful and the service outstanding. The service is so good that we had to hang onto our dishes which were not quite finished when the roaming kitchen staff attempted to remove them from the table. The constant procession of fresh hot dipping bread (perfect for the htipiti) is just one of the highlights of dining at Zaytinya. The two lamb dishes were succulent and tender, the crisp brussel sprouts outstanding and the Summer Grilled vegetables perfect in every way. Chilled Greek rose wine was perfect with this meal."

The signature dish at Legal Sea Foods – really fresh fish.
Legal Sea Foods has long proven that a consistent, high quality dining experience never goes out of style. With over 40 varieties of fresh fish and shellfish available throughout the year as well as an award-winning wine list, there’s no doubt why legions of fans have fallen hook, line and sinker. A bipartisan favorite, we have occupied the nation’s capital since 1995, anchored across from the Verizon Center and around the corner from the International Spy Museum, National Portrait Gallery and Chinatown.

Make waves at our racetrack-shaped bar or sup on seafood underneath the hull-like ceiling in our restaurant’s main dining room. Either way, be presidential and order a cup of our New England Clam Chowder; it’s been served at every Inauguration since 1981. Other accolades include being named “#1 Best Seafood Restaurant” in a nationwide poll by USA Today (2013).

"Busy restaurant so always book via Open Table and you will avoid the lines. The shrimp with lemon butter is my husbands's favorite dish and it never fails to disappoint. A generous portion of large grilled shrimp with 2 sides and a portion of lemon butter is a great meal. The almond encrusted salmon, sautéed in a lemon caper butter sauce, mushroom ravioli and spinach is outstanding and paired with a bottle of chilled rose, hits the spot 100%. Also consider making the blackened raw tuna sashimi appetizer a main meal by adding a salad and a side of white rice. For vegetarians, there is a Vegetarian Box on the menu which is far from boring: it is ample and delicious! Servers are very busy but pay attention to their tables most admirably."

"Zaytinya is always crowded and reservations are highly recommended. We so appreciate the travelling waiter who automatically delivers fresh baskets of warm flatbread to the tables whenever the original basket is empty. Not to be missed: the htipiti (roasted red pepper, feta and thyme) dip, the crispy brussel sprouts and any of the lamb dishes. The food is excellent. We always overestimate how many dishes we can eat but have come to the conclusion that 6 dishes for 3 people (shared) is plenty given the abundance of hot bread. The wine list is unusual and wonderful and you cannot be disappointed. There is something for everyone. Turkish coffee is strong and delicious. Service is exceptional."

"First of all, make sure you book through Open Table because this is one of the most popular breakfast places in DC. No reservation and the breakfast wait can be up to 90 minutes. However the food is worth it. The eggs are fresh and organic and served in oversized portions accompanied by shredded leek hash browns, choice of toasted bread and choice of meat. The stuffed french toast is decadent: stuffed with vanilla pastry cream and served with maple cinnamon syrup. Of course it is all enhanced with a spicy Bloody Mary starter! Coffee is strong and delicious and there is no pressure from the wait staff to hurry you along. Highly recommendable --great service and great atmosphere"

"The blackened salmon fettuccini dish was very tasty as were the pan seared scallops. The only drawback to the scallops was that they were not served with tartar sauce. When we asked, it took a very long time to get some and I think it was made especially in the kitchen and was not very good. The scallops themselves were delicious. The Clydes house salad is always a good bet: fresh greens and veggies with a balsamic vinaigrette. The bread is warm and delicious and served with a generous amount of butter. Great wine selection and great cold beer on tap. Who needs more than that? Service was attentive!"
