"Sat in a corner booth on a Saturday early lunch/brunch time and out waiter was fantastic! they make you feel so welcome and at the same time we felt like we were in the living room of close family or friends, but it's upscale and posh! LOVED IT. Our waiter recommended the burger and the cuban sandwich and we both LOVED it. We want to come back every Saturday and sit and eat and lounge and drink and just enjoy the views and polite staff and patrons. Awesome job!"

The Omakase style of dining is unlike anything else in the city, allowing the Chefs to create a coursed meal featuring artistic sushi creations, makimono and handmade sauces. with signature items including seared King crab legs with spicy chile and raspberry glaze, as well as seared blue fin tuna served with avocado and truffle oil sauce. HUB 51 is the River North creation from R.J. and Jerrod Melman, the younger generation of the Lettuce Entertain You organization. HUB 51 is a convergence of entertainment, nightlife, dining and social activity-much like the offbeat creations of LEYE were years ago. Striving to be at the heart of Chicago's social and dining scene, the attitude at HUB 51 is to expect the unexpected, a place offering unconventional perks, and outstanding food, drink and service in a spacious urban setting.

"The pork nachos- YUM. They are great for two to share and even be enough if you're not that hungry. I also love that we could tell our waitress that we (my friend and I) were going to be chatting a LOT as we had not seen each other in five years.... and she brought our bottle of wine and left us alone. It was great! Although... the wine was not that great. Maybe recommend a nicer bottle, but it was fine!"

"The waiters here and all the staff from the front to the back are awesome! HOWEVER.... I don't wish to be rushed to get the bill and HURRY eating my delicious steak and stone crab claws. I wish to sit, relax and enjoy at a place like this. I want to savor the food and ambiance. The Keylime pie is also a fave! I will be back, but don't rush me please."

Inspired by the work of Adolf Loos whose "American Bar" was designed & built in early twentieth century Vienna. The bar captured an elegance in simplicity; a style that greatly influenced the work of Frank Lloyd Wright & other American architects in the "prairie school". Stone, glass, brass & wood bathed in natural light, presence in the neighborhood is welcomed & profound.
LUXBAR as a neighborhood saloon is designed to convey that same simple elegance. The food is feel-good fresh, natural & easily understood. Artisanal in style, the menu reflects what the partnership views as an accessible cornucopia of what you might eat on just any occasion. The specialty cocktails are from natural, fresh ingredients: simple elegance.
The staff at LUXBAR is trained in the customer care philosophy that has made Gibson’s Steakhouse & Hugo's Frog Bar famous for legendary service.
Reservation requests for patio seating are not accepted. Patio seating is first come, first serve.

"First of all, what energy! This place is great! We say at a little table in the middle of it all and had a GREAT brunch. Everyone in there felt like family and were hugging and laughing and catching up and drinking and the food came out fast but the waiters didn't rush you to eat or leave. It was LOVELY! I can't wait to come back actually. What a fun place, and what GREAT food. The Monaco sandwich was AWESOME. Our waiter was great too- he left us alone when needed without even having to say anything.. he definitely felt our vibe and was awesome at his job. Cheers!"

Drawing influence from the Euro-Asian unions of China, India and Southeast Asia's colonial past with Portugal, the food at Fat Rice combines homestyle comfort with exotic, lesser known ingredients and flavors. Fat Rice is the celebration, preservation and evolution of these flavors, embracing the traditions of old and presenting them in a new light. Our food is made fresh right here and can be enjoyed at communal tables with drinks from our full-service bar that offers original cocktails, teas, and delicious Portuguese wines.

"My favorite are the potstickers and the funky cool vibe this place has. It's small, but you are greeted with the most amazing smelling food.. it's hard to choose what to eat actually because the waiters describe every dish on the menu with such enthusiasm as if they cherish each dish. I went with three other girlfriends and we all loved it. The smelt was great, and the spread app. The pot roast was definitely as described ad fell apart so tender, but not my favorite dish. The Fat Noodle is great but the mushroom and egg one was a little mess appetizing than the others I have had. Either way I will be back for sure!"

"We had their signature drink... the Pisco Sour and it's great! Then we also tried the El Piscolero and it was even better! Can't go wrong sitting at the bar, people watching, talking to the bartenders and having a fun time! I want to go back and eat the food though! :)"

Tamarine is a contemporary Vietnamese restaurant that features the light but flavor-intensive culinary delicacies of Vietnam. The restaurant offers a menu based on small plates, promoting the Vietnamese tradition of the 'shared' meal in which food is shared and enjoyed with those close. Tamarine's small plate entrees are enjoyed with the pairing of a variety of aromatic, flavor infused rice, designed to be mixed and matched to create a truly unique flavor experience. Along with culinary delicacies of Vietnam, the restaurant showcases the works of emerging artists from Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries. Semi-annual exhibits will close with a cocktail event to auction the art. Proceeds will be donated to La Maison Chance, an orphanage in Saigon, Vietnam.

"This place was recommended to me from a couple ladies at another restaurant in town and I am so happy I listened to them. We sat at the communal table in the center of the restaurant which was perfect for a quiet Monday night. It was romantic but not stuffy. We had the Wok fried noodles which are not fried at all.. the Tamarine Taste App whig was perfect o share and try a few apps.. and the Brussel sprouts which were also super tasty! All those items made a perfect meal for two. I would definitely come back here."
