This European-flecked neighborhood restaurant gets the urban vibe going with its stylish interior dressed in square tables, white molded chairs, and large canvases of modern art. The lounge area hosts guest DJs who pump up the volume when the lights go down, augmenting the retro feel. At LOKaL, lunch and dinner offer wholly different experiences, but each is worthy on its own. Brunches include: Duck Confit Benedict, Braised Pork Belly, French Omelets; while the dinner menu is more complex (showcasing the likes of NY Steak with truffle fries and apple slaw, Pork Tenderloin with potato pancake and mushroom cream or Goat Cheese Risotto with confit tomatoes, sweet peas and butternuts squash) . LOKaL is lauded for its fresh, first-rate ingredients often supplied by local farmers including Gunthrrop Farm, Nichols Farm, AquaTerra Farms and others.

Beatrix is a neighborhood restaurant, coffeehouse and meeting place located in Chicago’s River North. Our chef partners Susan Weaver, Rita Dever and John Chiakulas have created a menu inspired by food made in Lettuce’s test kitchen.

Beatrix is open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night offerings.

All pastries, breads and sweets are baked in house daily. Some of our favorites include Seeded Rye English Muffins, Honey Butter Cinnamon Buns and Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies. Our coffee and tea program will showcase two iconic Chicago roasters, Intelligensia and Metropolis.

"The food here is awesome and the juices too! The blue boost and green juice are both awesome! We also got the caesar salad with chicken and loved it and the turkey burger was one of the best we have had in the city! The only thing lacking is the outdoor seating... there are five tables and it's nice to have it, but it feels so disconnected from the awesome ambiance of the restaurant. It's a little "cold" feeling..."

Quartino, an urban Italian restaurant and wine bar, is the creation of Hugo Ralli, Steve Lombardo (owners of Gibsons Bar & Steakhouse, Hugo’s Frog Bar & Fish House, LUXBAR) and Exec Chef / Partner John Coletta. Quartino combines the best of Italy’s osteria and enoteca to offer an authentic everyday Italian food and wine experience. “Where wine is cheaper than water” Throughout Europe, in bistro after osteria after enoteca, fresh local wines of high quality and unique characteristics are priced as a less expensive alternative to bottled water. Reservation requests for patio seating are not accepted. Patio seating is first come, first serve.

"It's the best place to sit I think... it's casual but great atmosphere. My gf and I love to come here and sit at the bar and have the bottle of the month wine and apps. We meet people and chat and it's energetic and fun! the white bean and bread app was OUTSTANDING And good for two to share. The Cauliflower was AWFUL but they took it off our bill so no hard feelings there. It was just no good to either of us."

"View of Manhattan from Long Island City
Take a cab out of the city to see the Manhattan skyline! It's worth it to go once and the food here is great! The vibe is energetic with the latin flare and music... the sangria is strong and the stormy night cocktails are TOO SWEET. BUT the food is great: Arepas, Nachos, burger and the LOMO SALTADO (our favorite!!) I would suggest going once for a drink or food and definitely see the city views from outside the city :)"

"We came here (from Chicago) on a Friday night at 10pm and had drinks in the lounge while waiting on or table. GREAT Scene... everyone is poised and trendy and it's for sure a hot spot in downtown NYC. The Ruby Red Dragon cocktail and Thai basil Smash cocktail are a must. Both are fantastic. We were seated promptly in the BEAUTIFUL dining room.. we were wowed for sure when walking in. You don't expect it from the outside. We ordered a bottle of the Dancing Goblin Sake and it was awesome. Food recos: Chilean Sea Bass Satay, Crispy Rice Tuna, LOBSTER WONTONS, Tuna Carpaccio, Crunchy Spicy Yellowtail & Angry Dragon! We loved it so much we will for sure be back and recommend to everyone we know traveling to NYC. Thanks Tao!"

"We went three girls on a Friday night for dinner and it was great. The Jitterbug perfume drink was my fave!! And the Sav Blanc wine was also awesome. The Fried park cauliflower bites were also great to start with and share. The squid ink pasta was good too.... we also had the shrimp cakes were I dod not like. Too chewy. The mussels- also great to share but I would ask for extra bread to soak up that amazing bourbon miso sauce! mmmmm :)"

"Went for brunch on a Saturday. The service here was fantastic and very calm and the staff were not all over you which we love!! The burger is good and the chips and sauce that come with it were great too. The coffee bacon tastes nothing like coffee so it was basically just really crispy thick cut bacon. The poached shrimp and avocado toast was good but on the lighter side. Great coffee and juices... Maybe we will try for dinner."
