"This salad is so tasty and a good size for lunch! Or dinner actually. The soup with egg, spinach and pasta is also a favorite. Good lunch spot but never busy."

Opened on October 25th 2013, The Dawson is a new partnership between local restaurateurs Billy Lawless (The Gage, Henri) and Branko Palikuca (Topaz, Amber) featuring American cuisine. Celebrating the spirit of late 19th century Chicago, this casual neighborhood hangout features an energetic series of bi-level indoor and outdoor spaces. The Dawson is quintessentially American, from the familiar comfort food and classic cocktails with a twist to the nostalgic, versatile design and atmosphere.

"We went on a double date on a Sunday at 7pm.. had a few drinks at the bar first which was lovely and quiet and the cocktails were impeccable. The Day Spa and Buried Alive were the two favorites. Dinner was great too! Our waitress, Megan was very fun and friendly and knowledgable and made us have a few laughs! The fried lobster was the best thing I have eaten in a long time. GET IT!!! The oysters were great as well and the McDukkets were just alright.. nothing crazy special. Probably won't get those again. The beet salad and Quinoa curry were good, and the handmade sausages too- but the BERKSHIRE PORK SHANK... I kept stealing bites from my boyfriend's plate. By far the best! I woke up this morning craving it. GET IT! The wine list needs some help because in my opinion, it's all too expensive."

Beatrix is a neighborhood restaurant, coffeehouse and meeting place located in Chicago’s River North. Our chef partners Susan Weaver, Rita Dever and John Chiakulas have created a menu inspired by food made in Lettuce’s test kitchen.

Beatrix is open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night offerings.

All pastries, breads and sweets are baked in house daily. Some of our favorites include Seeded Rye English Muffins, Honey Butter Cinnamon Buns and Thin & Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies. Our coffee and tea program will showcase two iconic Chicago roasters, Intelligensia and Metropolis.

Located in the heart of Wicker Park and the Division Street corridor, The Boundary has much to offer. Spacious booths and plenty of tables offer an array of seating options in a cavernous space that features a barrel roof with exposed beams, brick and flagstone walls, and an expansive bar opposite a wall with a fireplace. In warmer weather, two large garage doors open up to let fresh air into the restaurant and a 16 table patio plays host to many patrons all summer long. Plasma TVs let sports fans keep an eye on the score while eating contemporary bar food with a few creative twists. A brunch menu with a make-your-own Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar is a favorite destination on weekends.

The Boundary also features a hefty beer selection of over 100 beers and a long shuffleboard table stretching along the back wall to keep the sportier locals happy.

Late night limited food menu begins at 10pm.

"We thoroughly enjoyed the bloody Mary bar, tomato soup and.... that's about it. Sad to say it, but we had the goat cheese and bacon pizza and were less than impressed. I had been before and it was great food, but this had no flavor. It's like they missed an important ingredient? I am not sure we will be back which is unfortunate because we love Summer House next door and expected great things from Stella Barre as well."

"Sat in a corner booth on a Saturday early lunch/brunch time and out waiter was fantastic! they make you feel so welcome and at the same time we felt like we were in the living room of close family or friends, but it's upscale and posh! LOVED IT. Our waiter recommended the burger and the cuban sandwich and we both LOVED it. We want to come back every Saturday and sit and eat and lounge and drink and just enjoy the views and polite staff and patrons. Awesome job!"

HUB 51 is the River North creation from R.J. and Jerrod Melman, the younger generation of the Lettuce Entertain You organization. HUB 51 is a convergence of entertainment, nightlife, dining and social activity-much like the offbeat creations of LEYE were years ago. Striving to be at the heart of Chicago's social and dining scene, the attitude at HUB 51 is to expect the unexpected, a place offering unconventional perks, and outstanding food, drink and service in a spacious urban setting.

"The pork nachos- YUM. They are great for two to share and even be enough if you're not that hungry. I also love that we could tell our waitress that we (my friend and I) were going to be chatting a LOT as we had not seen each other in five years.... and she brought our bottle of wine and left us alone. It was great! Although... the wine was not that great. Maybe recommend a nicer bottle, but it was fine!"
