Pranzi is the newest edition to the bustling River North area. Outfitted in handsome silvers and grays, custom chandeliers hanging in the ceiling and signature Rat Pack photography. You'll find the occasional Frank Sinatra playlist paired with their videos during dining hours. When night time hits Pranzi transforms into a unique abstract lounge with signature shots, drink specials, and an upscale soundtrack all night long.

"So welcoming! The hostesses and bartenders were great! Such nice people. A very slow night- hardly anyone there- but the bartender took great care of us- gave us an app and dessert on the house! Food was average, and I would probably go back, but they need to do some advertising or something so people know about it. It's hidden down the street and maybe some ads would bring people in? Good luck to them!"

"Food is good- nothing to write home about. Friendly staff, eager to please- which is nice but won't carry the restaurant I doubt. I wanted to to try the lunch sushi or Japanese food but they "didn't have it" which would have been nice to know beforehand. We were able to order from one fourth of the menu as the other options were not available. Probably won't go back- not horrible just nothing great."

Enso.

In Japan, it means circle.

In life, it stands for the moment in which your mind is free for the body or spirit to create.

In Chicago, it is a place where you can sit back and relax in the presence of good company and good food. The philosophy behind the name allows us to give back to Chicago in a way where dining is not just about putting food into your system because you’re supposed to. It’s about satisfying your hearts desires through the palate. It’s fulfilling your taste buds with complementary flavors that absorb into your well-being and make you feel good about yourself. We build on the fundamentals of Japanese ingredients with our own personality. And present to you – ENSO Sushi & Bar.

"This place smells incredible from the moment you walk in.. very inviting and like an antique shop vibe.. I loved it. The hot chocolate was outstanding (I had the chai one) and the Shrimp Louie salad was so tasty and different. The tomato soup was a bit boring- good but nothing great. My coworker had the BLET which he said was fantastic- it was HUGE like a burger almost! I wanted to try it- next time. I will be back for sure!!"

Cicchetti. Italian for "small plates" popular in Bacari Bars or Osterie in Venice, Italy. Usually accompanied by an "Ombra" or "Shadow" which can be a glass of wine, aperitivo or a signature or classical cocktail. Italian and Venetian inspired dining brought to you from the people behind Trattoria No. 10, Sopraffina Marketcaffes and Poag Mahone's. Welcome, we can't wait to see you!

"This was an odd one for me to describe.. the restaurant shares a space with their sister restaurant which was not open on this Friday night- making the restaurant appear to be empty! No one wants to eat in an empty restaurant on a Friday night. Our waitress was very inattentive & seemed to be busy doing god knows what, so drinks were slow to arrive. The flatbread was good & cheese plate was alright.. but we had to flag someone down to explain out cheese platter to us- everyone seemed really uninterested to work there. The short rib ravioli was alright but nothing memorable and I can't even remember our fourth dish so evidently not too memorable either. I wanted to like this place because I heard great things but truth is I won't be back."

The California-influenced, American restaurant features a wood-fire grill as its centerpiece and will dish out an ever-changing menu that spotlights locally-sourced produce & ingredients whenever possible. In addition to simply prepared proteins and a large selection of market vegetables, Summer House Santa Monica also boasts Chef Mahin’s signature artisanal bread program, an extensive wine list, fresh-squeezed juices and a wide array of pastry & sweets. Seeking to make diners feel at-home, the restaurant has been designed to evoke the atmosphere of a summer beach house with whitewashed woods, warm tones and a large glass ceiling positioned directly over the dining room that brings the outside in no matter what the season. An open kitchen outfitted in earth-toned tiling and a five-foot, wood-fire grill that emulates a home hearth further fosters the comfortable atmosphere.

Now open for Lunch on Fridays from 11am-4pm and Saturdays & Sundays for our weekend Brunch 8am-3pm!

"What a fun and vibrant brunch spot! We had a reservation but it was so busy we had to wait a bit which is not a problem at all bc you can grab a coffee or pastry from the little front bar and people watch. The noises and smells add to the ambiance. It's just lovely. We had a GREAT table in the bar- a big round booth and the coffee was great and food too! The egg breakfast was a fave by two in my party!! I will for sure b back- it's a beautiful restaurant and I want to try more food!!"

"The portions here are HUGE which is something to remember bc you can easily share. I feel like the waitstaff should mention that- we were two petite women out on a Sat night and definitely should have split a meal bc we weren't going back home so we wasted so much food and overspent. So- split meals if you can! :) The whitefish was good!! Great service too."

"The restaurant is small and cozy which was lovely and the food was good but didn't blow my mind. The waitstaff are very friendly and accommodating and the wine was great! I did enjoy that very much. They weren't pushy or didn't rush us when we ended up being the last table. The foulard duck was good but not great- the pommel frites were pretty good actually but could have used more truffle salt and park in my opinion and the gnocchi wasn't that great to be honest. I was hoping for more of a wow factor but not so much... not sure I would go back."
